Boys: Daniel (x3), Gareth, James, Michael, Stephen, Jamie, Christopher, Nigel, Lee, Christian, Philip, John.

This was at primary school in the 80s; secondary school added Jennifer (Jenny), Hayley, Hilary, Kate, Claire, Samantha, Christina, Catherine, Holly, Kathryn and Melissa amongst the girls, and Matthew, Robert, Simon, Ben, Tom, Ross, Adam and Sam amongst the boys.

Many Sarahs and Claires; Helen, Emma and Rachel were also popular. At one school my class also had two Sallys and two Charlottes.

Middle names were almost invariably Jane, Louise or Marie.
