Feminine Sounding Boys Names

I am a ‘frilly’ name person, I mostly like three syllable names and two middle names to match mine and DH’s. I have such an easier time with girls names, my girls list is close to a hundred names I would use but it’s so hard to find boys names I even like.

Lots of people on here seem to hate the boys names I like, calling them ‘wet’ or ‘feminine’ (as an insult?!) and assuming they’re going to get bullied- in my experience that isn’t true but is besides the point. If anyone has any names they like (or hate!) for boys that fit that criteria I would really appreciate hearing them.

Some examples of boys names I like:

Constantine
Gabriel
Augustine
Christian
Leander
Alistair
Ambrose
Dorian
Isidore

Oh - how d’you pronounce Ferdia, @Op1n1onsPlease?

Looks glorious written down.

Just how it looks - fer-dee-a or fer-dya- with emphasis on first syllable. I love it too.

Some of the Greek/ /Roman/ other male deity names are both masculine and attractive. Eg Odin, Aquilo , Ares, Dion. Have a google.

Some of the male Scottish names have a softer sound - Glen, Murray, Sandy etc.

Montgomery (Monty)
Digby
Sebastian

I’m going to need to have a lot of babies to use up all these names! Absolutely adore Montgomery, it is taken in our family but it’s one of my absolute favourites.

Don’t think I’ve seen

Lorne

on the thread yet?

It’s apparently unisex. Scottish. Was introduced to a male bearer of the name sometime in the mid-1980s on a street in Cambridge, well after midnight, outside a kebab shop. He was utterly charming and I’ve loved the name ever since, but have never met another.

Also someone above mentioned about being a target for bullying. I think bullying for names will be a thing of the past soon - all the babies and toddlers I know have different names, It will just become normal. One of my relatives who’s a teacher said when they were at school children wearing glasses were bullied, but now that never happens.

Etienne is the French version of Stephen .. which is abit disappointing.

when you said feminine names I think of more weaker sounding things like Timothy , Tristan .
