First name Pallace for a girl?

I just finished reading Tom Lake by Ann Patchett and love the name Pallace, and also the character she was associated with. Since we're in Europe as well as Asia, this name works well for both places.

But what do you think of the name Pallace?

Appalling. Why would you even consider doing that to a child?

Stop trying to be ‘unique’ - they’ll spend the rest of their life having to spell or explain it to people. Let their personality be the thing that makes them stand out, not their name.

I would straight away think chav name, or Katie Price in her Peter Andre era. Sorry op. Maybe as an unusual middle name, then you can still have the significance.

if you want something close to Palastine, you could look at historical and geographical names in the area?
