So, I’m having a boy. Names-wise, I.Did.Not.Prepare.For.This.

For a girl, I would have punted Céline, Margot, Audrey, Vivienne (Vivi), Anaïs, Genevieve, Bridget etc to DH.

My own name is rare but not a weird name, so I’ve always liked that - people have heard of it, but don’t necessarily know someone else with it.

I’d like a name that was strong, a bit zhuzh-y with a sprinkle of eccentric but also fine for a CEO to be called! Does it exist?

This is our first. We have a double-barrelled aggregate four syllable surname, but I’d pick a vanilla-ish middle name so the whole name wasn’t totally nuts.

Actually, yeah, should have called the thread that: “boy names with a touch of the snobby whimsy!”

“A touch of the snobby whimsy” is the perfect way to describe my naming style so thank you for that.

Anyway had DD had been a boy I’m 99% sure she’d have been a Lucian (pronounced the American way 😬).

I do have a real soft spot for others on this thread like Cosmo, Rupert, Silas, Nathaniel, Gabriel and Linus.

Weirdly someone’s suggested Isidore upthread and we went for the female version for DD. I guess I do like a touch of the snobby whimsy!
