Hell no 😂 the poor kid!

Sounds like an artificial food flavouring or a part of women’s genitalia.

Agree with this - sorry 😂

Cornishmumofone · 29/04/2025 17:00

I’m so glad I’m not the only one thinking of Ecce Romani!

we were taught it was pronounced Flah - wee- ah 😂

nocoolnamesleft · 29/04/2025 17:08

Definitely Flah-wee-ah

shalamakooky · 29/04/2025 17:14

Labia

Ecrire · 29/04/2025 17:16

Labia. Immediately

RosieMilkJug · 29/04/2025 17:38

I love the name Flavia ever since I saw the Stewart Granger Prisoner of Zenda film and toyed with calling my daughter that. But then they made a coffee machine and I couldn’t do it. Shame, because it’s a beautiful name.

JaninaDuszejko · 29/04/2025 17:40

Makes me think of the amazing Flavia Cacace who was a pro on SCD. A good reference and a good name, surprised at all the negativity.

Overthebow · 29/04/2025 17:42

I really don’t like it. I don’t think it’s works in the UK.

MannequinsArePeopleToo · 29/04/2025 17:44

It sounds like a yoghurt.

Labia

This!

TeaIsNice · 29/04/2025 17:52

Sorry I read a mash up between vulva and labia

I'm not in the UK and unlikely to move back but it's possible that my children could want to live there one day.

Awful

Roselilly36 · 29/04/2025 18:59

Coffee machine

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 29/04/2025 19:00

Labia was my initial thought 🤨

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 29/04/2025 19:01

No unless you are Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian, Romanian, Italian.

CrushingOnRubies · 29/04/2025 19:03

there was a dancer on strictly called Flavia. Now married to Jimi Mystery. I quite like it.

HePlayin · 29/04/2025 19:04

Immediately thought of Alan Partridge.

CherryPinkAppleBlossomWhite · 29/04/2025 19:07

I love the name Flavia! Flavia Cacace was my favourite dancer on Strictly, and I love Roman names. It reminds me of Ecce Romani too...Flavia, Cornelia, Marcus, Sextus...and don't forget Latrax the dog!

ZepherinDrouhin · 29/04/2025 19:09

Flavour of the month. Horrific name to lumber a child with and God help her for when she gets to secondary school.

Why would you put a target on her back like that?

ChocolateCinderToffee · 29/04/2025 19:22

I like it. I used to know a lovely one.

Fairyvocals · 29/04/2025 20:36

Etiam in pictura est altera puella… quae in villa vicina habitat!

Fairyvocals · 29/04/2025 20:37

Sextus was a right little horror.

Prepositional · 29/04/2025 20:40

Suits the Brazilian gymnast. Not massively keen on it myself but wouldn't bat an eyelid if someone from a non-English speaking country was called this. Like a pp, I don't think it particularly works as an English language name.
