Brother for Goddess-named sisters

Name changed for obvious reasons. I've shot myself in the foot with this one! I have two daughters, Artemis and Juno, and now I'm expecting a boy.

The obvious choice would be a mythological or God name, but I'm struggling to find one I like.

For context:
Artemis was named due to links to Artemisia of Caria (kick ass Persian naval war commander) and the Goddess as my Middle Eastern surname has a similar meaning to "Hunter".

Juno was one of the few names we had on our list and we just felt it suited her when she was born.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Caspar has always been on my list for a boy but it's the only name I have right now and DH is equally at a loss for ideas!

Ptolemy is one of my secret names I love but wouldn't have the balls to use.

Oo Castiel is being added to the list! Cas names on our list: Caspar, Caspian, Cassian (though not sure about the star wars link).

Darius, Cyrus, Kian all on there too (from the Persian ancestry angle). List so far but certainly not extensive, more the ones that caught my eye/had a good feeling about:

Caspar
August
Cassian - star wars 😔
Caspian
Benedict
Kamran
Orion - bad myth connection to Artemis
Ares
Atticus
Loki
Cyrus - pronunciation 🤯
Darius
Kian
Marcus
Alexander
Wren (feminine?)
Sage (feminine?)

Well go with Caspar then. You only need one name and you have it.
With our dd3, literally I said one name and that was it!

I think Caspar is definitely top of the list, husband likes it too. Though I had a small list and a few options when both girls were born as I wanted to be sure they suited the names so I'll keep on thinking about names regardless! Juno particularly could have been one of a few names, Artemis was one of the two we had for her.

Loving the nickname Cas and both Caspar and Caspian though. I love the character Prince Caspian as well, will reread that to have it fresh in my mind!

That was something we were thinking with the girls names regardless, so we'll likely be doing the same for boy names now!

You cannot name an actual human Merlin.

OP you do realise that your sons name isn’t gonna be mentioned in conjunction with his sisters names for the rest of this life don’t you?? Just name him a nice boys name that you like! @NameforBabyBrother

What about Cosmo?

I knew a Merlin once, he was awesome. But I wouldn't use it myself.

Might Darius work then?

RedOnyx · 25/04/2025 19:30

Casimir?

The problem with Greek gods are the incestuous relationships! I think Apollo, brother of Artemis and most beautiful god, or Leander. Leander is unusual but not obvious. Lots of swimming lessons.

Calliopespa · 25/04/2025 22:00

Aeolus ( if he farts a lot…)

Choconuttolata · 25/04/2025 22:23

Aion
Ares
Endymion
Hermes
Lir
Orion
Perseus
Zephyr

Going back to earlier suggestions, I really like Cyrus (Sigh-russ).
