I'm sorry I think of that comedian bloke from Cormwall.

marmadukescarlet · 14/05/2008 14:45

Yes, makes me think of foul mothed comics - sorry

PrimulaVeris · 14/05/2008 14:45

Well ... the '70's rock band (Jethro Tull)

... and a foul-mouthed comedian much loved by a certain type of middle-aged man!

(Sorry you did ask!)

IdrisTheDragon · 14/05/2008 14:45

I quite like it - my sister has a friend called Jethro.

Blandmum · 14/05/2008 14:46

Ledodgy · 14/05/2008 14:46

LynetteScavo · 14/05/2008 14:47

I don't like it, because to me it sounds like death row. Sorry, but I am being honest.

BettySpaghetti · 14/05/2008 14:48

sounds a bit bumpkin-esque

"Oi've got a brand new combine harvester..." etc

laidbackinengland · 14/05/2008 14:50

Like it, but I am not the best person to ask, as all my children have names that make them sound like they have sideburns and should be out ploughing fields .

cremolafoam · 14/05/2008 14:50

oh dear

WanderingTrolley · 14/05/2008 14:52

I think it's a fabulous name. Jeth cool for teenager, but just realised it sounds a bit like Geoff if you're a Cockernee

Could have Jet for short. Do it do it do it.

Nancy66 · 14/05/2008 14:55

Makes me think of the village idiot - sorry.

seeker · 14/05/2008 14:56

"Worst fears realized. Seth and Reuben too. Send gum boots"

beaniesteve · 14/05/2008 14:56

Lol - I actually wouldn't consider it as I have a brother called jethro (after the man who invented the seed drill) but I was interested in what people think, and why

noddyholder · 14/05/2008 14:56

hippyish and travelly

beaniesteve · 14/05/2008 15:00

"hippyish and travelly"

he he he. Me and my sister ended up with fairly sensible names. My brother was teased but he likes his name now.

Yes, Jethro Tull invented the seed drill. We did him in history. Still don't really know what a seed drill is, mind...

Crap name for a baby btw!

LadyOfWaffle · 14/05/2008 16:09

Sorry, makes me think of Death Row (is that how you spell it?).

RainyWednesday · 14/05/2008 16:12
