Still strugglin with girls names.

One that wasnt immediantly dismissed and is now the first girls name we have actually considered serious, was Sinead.

We have a Nicole, Lauren and Serena. Someone on another thread pointed out that all have E and N in them. and they work well together. Does Sinead fit in there?

It's a lovely name. So is Soibhan (sp?)

aGalChangedHerName · 06/05/2008 10:08

It sounds fine to me. Do you have any Irish connection (as it will be assumed from the name)?

Also, having 2 children with Irish names, be prepared to have to spell it to absolutely everyone.

misdee · 06/05/2008 10:10

nooo cant use Siobhan (?), reminds me of a girl at work.

yes the O@ Connor thing did spring to mind.

But i have a Serena Williams. and have already dismissed Venus

misdee · 06/05/2008 10:15

yes mears. 12 weeks now.

oh MT i really keep chucking daft names at dh just to see his reactions. he keeps saying if its a boy he will call it Bernard. which isnt that daft but reminds me of an old man, or that book 'not now bernard' lol.

I have a lovely friend called Sinead so I think it's very nice. At school no-one could ever pronounce/spell her name though. But nowadays perhaps the fame of Sinead O'Connor will help with this though.
(Disappointed you are not going for Venus though...)

mears · 06/05/2008 10:16

Congratulations misdee
