Lavender might get called "Lav" for short which is not good

snowleopard · 05/05/2008 12:57

Clove is a bit peculiar but Clover is lovely for a girl.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 05/05/2008 12:57

Well we are British and not adverse to the odd bit of toilet humour

Ah yes I was originally thinking Clover but thought it was too margarine like......all I need is a few people to say 'absolutely not, it's gorgeous' and I might be swayed....

It's very unusual, but I like it too, more so than Summer. My Dd is Willow.

It's beautiful, and I didn't think of the magarine at all - just the lovely white and purple flowers.

snowleopard · 05/05/2008 13:00

margarine ack! I can't type today.

solo · 05/05/2008 13:01

Autumn Clover...lovely!

janeite · 05/05/2008 13:02

I think there's a children's book with a Clover in (not Watership Down); maybe an Enid Blyton? It is pretty but only if you can forget margarine.

Lavender has Harry Potter associations now of course!

I like Daisy, Posy and Violet. Willow is pretty.

solo · 05/05/2008 13:04

I've only just started to think of all the names my Dd is going to get...Pussy Willow and Curly Willow(she has very curly hair)ooops!

seeker · 05/05/2008 13:09

Clover was Katy's sister in What Katy Did. I think it's too firmly attached to margarine now. Shame - it's pretty.
