Clover is lovely. Unusual and pretty. Easy to say and spell.

scottishmummy · 05/05/2008 20:27

and spread's easily too

Winter Raine...has a ring to it, like Autumn Meadow, Summer Sky...but not Spring Lily

belgo · 06/05/2008 06:56

Thyme
Ursula (little bear)
Brooke (as in a little river - is that how you spell it?)

belgo · 06/05/2008 11:27

Margarita (Daisy)

Clover is margerine. Lavender has old lady's bedroom type overtones. Summer sounds a bit like an Aussie soapstar.

Sorry I don't have anything positive to put in the pot. I'm just a neggie, whiney old witch this morning...

I'd probably call my new child polyester or pol for short if I was pg again no sense, no style I'm afraid..

Clover is beautiful. Ditto Rowan, which I always think is just the coolest girl's name in existence
Star and Rain are gorgeous too though only if you love them.
Really don't like Almond, sorry. Can't tell you why though.
Quite like Tamarind but not keen on Tam which is the obvious shortening IMO?
Anise is pretty but IMO will be called Anais if that bothers you. She'll have to spell it a lot.

Cassia (apparently pronounced Cashia) is a beautiful spice name.

OrmIrian · 06/05/2008 14:21

Rowan is lovely. Also Willow. I suggested both these names to DH when I was pregnany. He just laughed long and loud. And rather rudely IMO.

GooseyLoosey · 06/05/2008 14:24

Laurel is quite nice

PuppyMonkey · 06/05/2008 14:25

Bluebell
Blossom

Don't forget the Credibility Test (very subjective but so is anything name-related)

Secretary General of the United Nations Bluebell Smith
Prime Minister Blossom Smith
Professor Bluebell Smith
Hello Portland! On guitar - Bluebell Smith!

PuppyMonkey · 06/05/2008 14:34

Yes, they all sound great!

DownyEmerald · 06/05/2008 14:57

Cassia bark is a laxative!

nell12 · 06/05/2008 21:00

Pelvicfloor, you beat me to it! I was going to say Hebe

My favourite girl's name (can't think why)

Aspen
Linden

tearinghairout · 06/05/2008 21:32

Please not Senna. Sounds like a laxative.

I know a little girl called Violet. It's a lovely name but I always want to call her Violent ('cos she is!)

Jade? Can't think of any others. I love Rowan, there was a girl called Rowan in a children's book I loved, she ran away from home... wish I could remember more about it (title, author) - anyone??
