What does the name Alfie make you think of?

I think its a classic boys name and its one of my current favourites. My husband says he just thinks of Alfie Moon from Eastenders and thinks its a bit of a common name for that reason. I've never watched Eastenders so don't have these connotations! Will everyone else?

I would agree Alfie Moon as I’m an avid soap watcher!
Its a nice enough name though.

I associate the name with dogs, to be honest. Seems to be a popular dog name.

I think of the children books by Shirley hughes..... Alfie and annie rose. Were a family favourite when my children were young ❤️

I think of the Cilla Black song Alfie from the film of the same name. I love the name Alfie.

Cheery Cockney chappie market trader, or the minor character in a WWI novel who is the first of the company to die in the trenches, having carelessly shown everyone the picture of his girlfriend and explained how he promised her to come home safe.

I haven’t watched soaps for yearssss but as soon as I hear Alfie I do think of Alfie moon. I do like the name though

I'd sing 'Alfie' from the 60s film of the same name, but in my mind, I picture Alfie from Alfie and Annie Rose - the lovely children's stories from Shirley Hughes.

Quite common and regularly the "naughty child" along with Archie!

I see it as kind of a cutesy name for a baby or pet but doesn't suit an older child/ teen/ adult.

Common name and the boys bestowed with the name tend to be lovely cheeky chaps or troublesome rude young boys

What’s it all about?

I taught a lovely boy called Alfie who was so polite and likeable. He is a teenager so I don't agree that it only fits a baby/small child. I also haven't watched Eastenders since I was young but Alfie Moon isn't a bad character! Plus by the time he is older I doubt anyone will remember or associate the name with him.

Lily Allen’s song ‘Alfie’ about her brother, but that’s quite niche I imagine.

My cat is called Alfie he came with the name when we adopted him

Yes they've kind of become 'naughty boy' names like Connor, Callum, Kyle used to be.

I think of a shortened version of Alfred. Alfie Moon, Alfie the movie and a dogs name.
