What comes to mind when you think of a family living in London with two children named Felix and Casper?

I would assume you were Polish just because they seem to be popular names for boys in Polish families in North London.

FatFiatMultiplaWhopper · 01/01/2025 08:07

Good names

TheLurpackYears · 01/01/2025 08:10

KPop and ghosts.
I would not be judgey about these names. Absolutely fine.

motherofdragons79 · 01/01/2025 08:32

Cats

I love both names. Both well know, east to pronounce and travel well. Felix is on our shortlist for a baby boy and my husband said the other day he liked Caspar too! I wouldn’t think anything in particular of a family with Felix and Casper (other than I liked the names). They’re both fairly standard names and Felix in particular is quite popular.

They'd really wanted cats but settled for children.

🤣

TheLittleOldWomanWhoShrinks · 01/01/2025 09:14

I'd think 'what a shame that they misspelled Caspar.'

Frangywangywoowah · 01/01/2025 09:15

I don't have a thought but am relying on my initial feeling/emotion which was an eye roll.

Exactly this

SallyWD · 01/01/2025 09:19

I like the names. I'd think the family are very middle class.

NorthernGirl1981 · 01/01/2025 09:19

Casper is an awful name to call a child.
On one hand it’s ridiculously pretentious but on the other hand it’s also the name of a famous cartoon ghost. It’s bizarre with such conflicting messages 🤣

I don’t understand why anyone would do it.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 01/01/2025 09:19

Both lovely names.

BCBird · 01/01/2025 09:21

Don't like names. Parents high earners, with possibly a nanny

FedUpWithXmasNow · 01/01/2025 10:02

What would you think OP?

Moreteaandchocolate · 01/01/2025 11:16

A nice family who chose friendly - sounding and fairly “middle class trendy” names for their children. I wouldn’t see that as a negative.

Sheeparelooseagain · 01/01/2025 11:24

Yes middle class trendy.

BootballJoy · 01/01/2025 11:58

Lovely names, not unusual these days.

Sunnyflow · 01/01/2025 13:53

What a strange question?

What would I think of them depends on their personality and attitude, not their names Confused

Dovestree · 01/01/2025 14:14

Cats! I'd think you were talking about cats, sorry.

LavenderFields7 · 01/01/2025 14:18

I would assume the parents were making a joke about having cats for children. I wouldn’t imagine that anyone would actually name their kids that, unless they were idiots.

Haha

I wouldn’t think anything - they are quite typical middle class-ish names, and v off the moment

So weird. Felix has been popular for a good while, Caspar has been in the last couple years. They aren’t unusual names.

CrashThere · 01/01/2025 15:18

My first thought was cats.

TwoHoots74 · 01/01/2025 15:20

That you were talking about your cats

LateNightReads · 01/01/2025 15:21
