Thought on Aliena

As in variation on Alyona, and because of charcter in Shakespeare, not because aliens.
I would pronounce it A-lee-en-a. I dont mind slight variation in pronunciation, but do care that middle two syllables are pronounced lee-en.

Do you think Aliena is usable? I like Celia, as well, but not as Aliena.

Alienna?

nepetaracemosa · 18/09/2024 20:42

Or Alyenna.

Or one of the alternatives like Alina, Alena, Elena.

Or Eliana? A bit flipped but I know a few, and much better!

shoopshoopdedoo · 18/09/2024 20:55

Definitely Celia

Jelnotjel · 18/09/2024 21:01

😂😂😂alien!

I don't usually bother with the emojis on here but come on!

How about Chlamydia?

Frizno · 18/09/2024 21:10

No it can't be spelled Alien(a)

Frizno · 18/09/2024 21:11

Alyena

Isn't much better. Looks like Hyena

Member869894 · 18/09/2024 21:12

Awful

salamithumbs · 19/09/2024 22:52

I think definitely use a double n to get the right pronunciation, and preferably a y so it looks less like alien... so Alyenna
Agree that Elena, Alina or Eliana are nice alternatives

Marcipex · 19/09/2024 23:11

please reconsider. Lots of better options have been suggested.

Balloonhearts · 19/09/2024 23:16

Good god please don't, not with that spelling. That child is in for years of bullying and will probably end up suing you for childhood trauma.

I'm medically trained and when I read that it made me think immediately of melena. Google it only if you want to be grossed out.
Don't do it.
