Tesla. As in the car.

SonicTheHodgeheg · 14/06/2024 14:04

Don’t know how to spell Taylor ?

yoshiblue · 14/06/2024 14:04

Sounds chavvy - sorry!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/06/2024 14:04

I like the sound of it, but I’d spell it Taylor.

SiriAlexa · 14/06/2024 14:05

I’d go for Taylor instead. I’m not very keen on the name but then I tend to prefer more traditional names which is just personal taste.

I like the sound of it, but I’d spell it Taylor.

Literally this, every single time they will have to spell their name!!!

TheShellBeach · 14/06/2024 14:05

You need to spell it Taylor if you're going to use it, I think.

Procrastinates · 14/06/2024 14:07

First thought would be you couldn't spell.

Gorgonemilezola · 14/06/2024 14:07

Trailer park, sorry.

Don’t know how to spell Taylor ?

This!

Plus, I don't like how it looks.

PurpleReindeer2 · 14/06/2024 14:07

Shell spend her life correcting people about how to spell her name

pizzaHeart · 14/06/2024 14:08

Procrastinates · 14/06/2024 14:07

First thought would be you couldn't spell.

This ^ would be my first thought, sorry

Username947531 · 14/06/2024 14:08

Very chavy/trailer park and yes, I'd assume as well that you couldn't spell Taylor.

Noosnom · 14/06/2024 14:08

Tesla or can't spell I'm afraid.

Pinkfan2024 · 14/06/2024 14:09

Why are you spelling it like that?

My first thought would be, Is it a made up name? And is it pronounced the same as Taylor?

MBappse · 14/06/2024 14:10

Tesla came to my mind.

skinnyoptionsonly · 14/06/2024 14:11

I will ignore the ridiculous spelling as PPs have covered that !

Otherwise there will be a shit load of Taylors around I'm sure. I'm not sure id want people assuming I'd named my kid after a pop star.

That said. I think you are winding us up. Grin. Nice one!

Never heard of the name before, I hate these names derived from fiction or misspelling but why not? I agree that the child will have to endlessly spell her name again if it doesn't become wildly popular. One of my daughters is wildly grateful that I didn't on a whim call her Ziba, seen in a hotel room Bible many, many years ago after a bottle of booze!!

sunflowerdaisyrose · 14/06/2024 14:11

Prefer Taylor. Not a name I'd chose but wouldn't have any negative thoughts about it spelt Taylor.

paasll · 14/06/2024 14:11

Several things come to mind about Teyla:

  1. Taylor with a spelling mistake

  2. Leyla with a T rather than an L

  3. It looks like the word Tesla - only one letter different.

I don't mean to be a bitch, but you need to give your child a name that is practical and that doesn't embarrass them.

Charlie2121 · 14/06/2024 14:12

Chav. Probably friends with Vicky Pollard.

Allmarbleslost · 14/06/2024 14:14

That you don't know how to spell Taylor

ManilowBarry · 14/06/2024 14:16

Absolutely dreadful.

Think about when they see an adult and applying for a job!

Teyla instantly conjures up a sink estate and being friends with Vicky Pollard.

BardsAreAssholes · 14/06/2024 14:17

This is why online spaces are more useful than real life for opinions.

Me IRL - Oh wow, what made you think of that? It’s not a name/spelling I’ve come across…

Me on MN - HELL NO, OP, it’s tacky, makes you look like a Swiftie who can’t spell and your child will hate her name. Just don’t .

TallulahBetty · 14/06/2024 14:18

Taylor*. You've never grown up with a name that no one call spell, OP, and it shows.
