Amber or Amelia

Do you prefer Amber or Amelia?

Amber by far.

Amelia for me.
I've never met a nice Amber. Sorry, nice Ambers - I know you exist!

Amber because Amelia is jncredibly common (as in popular) right now.

The floral name Azalea begins with the letter A but not as popular as the other two names.

I've got a 10 year old Amber, she loves her name and is the only one in her school (3 form entry primary school, so quite a few kids)

I now prefer Amber..!

I like them both, but Amber has the edge for me, it's more elegant and, as a PP wrote, there are so many Amelias...

We have an Amber, and it's great. Only one in class and it's easy to 'sound out' when learning letters (our Amber's 4), and many letters to master in wobblyhand writing, which gives them an earlyconference boost..

There is apparently one other Amber in the entire school of 480 (primary plus nursery, 2 forms X 8 years)

There are sooooo many Amelia’s it’s become boring.

Amber lovely nature associations, pretty name, everyone knows, but not overused. Very pretty.

Amber - or Amelie - they’re both lovely.
I don’t like the eelier sound in Amelia.

It is much more common, just not in the sense you meant it there. I vastly prefer Amelia.

I prefer amber but a possibly similar to Amelia - Emmeline which I love but heard after we had had our daughter
