What do you think of the name Indie?

and which spelling? Indie or Indy?

Indie is fine as a nn, but not standalone. Unfortunately, most of the possible longer forms are grim and colonialist. Indigo is just about okay.

But clearly people have dated names or the concept of dated wouldn't exist. I don't doubt there are children called that but I think names ending in i look dated. At one point there are loads of them but it is much less common now.
