Hi everyone 👋

We juuuuuust managed to agree on names for our first two boys and have found ourselves pregnant with a third boy 🤣 We are STRUGGLING to come up with a third name so looking for suggestions that go with our other two. They are - Ronan Alexander and Asher James.

We like names that aren't too popular or too unusual, generally pronounced the way they're read and our surname is only one syllable so we have tended to lean towards multi-syllable first names. The option of shortening would be a pro, but for the right name I think we'd be okay with something that's not got a common nickname.

Please hit me up with your suggestions 🙏

Thanks!

My nephew is a Levison which gets shortened to Levi.

Lots of good names on this thread - I too love Franklin and Miles 🥰

Go for Torin, its a great name! It was in our top 2, but husband and I kept pronouncing it differently each time we said it (sometimes a short o and sometimes an 'or' sound), so we ultimately didn't go for it. But I absolutely love it!

We have been talking about Leo and I loooooove Leopold. My only worry with Leopold is that it's too strange/old fashioned and we'll just call him Leo and he'll be embarrassed at every school presentation/every time an unknown teacher calls his name at school 😬 it still makes me swoon though so... 🤷🏻‍♀️😍

If that’s the only thing stopping you using this name then you don’t have to register him with his full name at school. My boys all have 2 names on their birth cert but we call them by their middle names. When I registered them at school I showed their birth cert but explained we only use middle names and I don’t want a record of their first name on school file. Same with gp. It’s only official documents that have their first names on them.

Talus is a bone in your foot if that changes how you feel about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

KK864 · 30/11/2023 08:43

Sorry I see a few people have mentioned that it’s a bone and you’ve said you’re aware of it but might help with how other people might feel about it. I haven’t heard of it as a name before and immediately just hear the anatomical association

What did you name your third boy in the end? I am currently pregnant, unsure if gender but I have a feeling it will be our third boy, hence coming across this thread x
