I prefer 1 D but if shortened I prefer 2. Maddie rather than madie or even maddy rather than mady. But that my preference

As a name for girls, it first became popular thanks to the character played by Darryl Hannah in the movie Splash, and also because it could be shortened to Maddie. The ancestors of President James Madison, after whom the many Madison Streets and Avenues and Boulevards of the US are named, were British. His great great grandfather, Isaac Madison, was born in London in 1590 and died in Virginia.

@PearlClutzsche, Alison is a french form of Alice, not Ali's son.
