Lydia or Lucy?

Hi all, currently expecting a baby girl and we’re stuck between Lydia or Lucy. My name is Louise so I wanted to have an L name for my little girl, husband prefers Lucy but I like Lydia!

Ok, I kinda prefer the name Lucy, but with that nurse Lucy Letby trial happening, I don't think it's a good idea to use it this year.

I love both, especially Lucy. However, unfortunately it doesn't work with my surname so I vote Lydia based on what I'd choose.

I might be on my own thinking this but Lydia is a very transwoman name to me.

Lucia with either the s or ch sound is lovely, probably the Italian way is nicer.

Lydia as there are too many Lucy's but I prefer Lucia. Lucille is an alternative.

Lydia!!! But im bias as i have a baby lydia!
She gets called liddie alot and its such a cute nickname. Its also not very popular but not to out there either

I also like Lauren/Laura/Olivia (nn Libby/Liv).
Lucy just reminds me of 64 Zoo Lane. Sorry to all the Lucys out there!

Lydia reminds me of Aunt Lydia from the handmaids tale, and chlamydia!! Silly I know, but Lucy is nicer IMO.

Lydia rhymes with clamidya. Secondary school kids will 100% that connection. How do I know? Don’t ask 😂

Lydia - elegant, classic and underused (with a funky edge thanks to the tattooed lady and Beetlejuice). Some impressive RL Lucy's - but I've always found the name to have a "cutesy" sound personally.

Fave L name is Lara though (also like Lilia and Linnea).
