Tabitha or Thisbe

Stuck on names. So far we have
Thisbe

Elowen
Xanthe
Callista

Suggestions welcome. We quite like Greek/mythology/mystic/romantic (I can’t think of the right term )

Thea or Tabitha

I love Thisbe, my friend has a little girl called this and she never gets called Frisbee.

I love the name Thalia

The only downside is that there appears to be 3 ways of pronouncing it?

Like Tabitha and love Xanthe.

Thisbe - no. One of a gang of characters in A Midsummer Night's Dream that also included Pyramus and a donkey named Bottom. Not a good association.

How about Thessaly? (I don't know if anyone uses this as a name, but I think it sounds great)

The mechanicals were performing the play within the play Pyramus and Thisbe

I like Tabitha and Thea, but the latter is quite popular at the moment.

Other Greek Mythology names - Rhea, Thalia, Calliope. I used to work with a young woman named Calliope but she called herself Calli.

Cross Thisbe off the list, shenwould hate all the frisbee jokes.

The rest are nice , I particularly like Elowen. (Or Elodie?)

My DD says Persephone but I hate the myth.

Thea (and Theo) very popular at the moment, we have so many at preschool that it gets confusing.
I've always loved Xanthe. I once knew a lovely girl with that name.

I know a Persephone- we called her Percy and didn't know her real name until it came to exams!

I think Xanthe and Callista are both lovely, and agree with pp about Calliope - great name! Iris is nice, as is Thalia and Hebe. If you’re keen on Greek names, maybe Charis, Athene, Thetis, Elpis, Eirene or Penelope?
