I quite like it but wouldn't be brave enough to use it as a first name. I think the child has a lot to live up to with such a bold name.

I really like it, but would struggle because I shorten names and play about with them and I wouldn't fancy having a little Scar running about.

same as hula, love the name but wouldn't be brave enough to use it

Used to nanny a Scarlett.
She was a force of nature, and her name really suited her.
Dark curls, green eyes.
She was lovely.

love it! it would have been the name of ds if he was a girl.

I adore it, and wish I was one

If I'd had a girl (got 3 month old ds) I would have loved to have called her Scarlett, But MIL and DP said it was a bit 'tarty' and jezabelesk. But I still like it, my Scarlett would be striking, charming witty . What do you think beachlover?

My friend has named her baby Scarlet, I agree it is very bold (and wouldn't have picked it myself) but it seems to suit her already.

I think, 'Tomorrow is another day' and 'Tara! Tara!'

No, really, it's a bold name, I'd see if she looked like a Scarlett when she was born.

I had boy and girl zebra finches called Rhett and Scarlett.

Lol expat, I love that film/book

I love the character Scarlett and I love the name, not sure I'd use it because it doesn't go with my other DC's names or the surname, but if you can use it, do.

Scarlett wasn't a bad girl! She was just in love with the wrong man!
She lost out in the end when she realised she loved Rhett too late
