I love it. Sounds like a independant confident child, not necessarily fiery imo.

One think I did not consider when choosing names is what it would be shortened to.

Do like little Red, or Red thought.

my 20-something friend scarlett likes her name, but at school hated being called captain scarlett, scarlett woman and scarlett ohara. and scarlywarly but you could do similar with any name. she does seem to have come through it unscathed tho! lovely name imo

I think it suits a very dark haired child, I love it but my dd is fair and some how to me it wouldn't work on a fair child.

I have a dd called Scarlett shes nearly 13,her friends call her Letty sometimes but thats about it.It's a very bold name.When I named her there wasn't hardly any Scarlett's around then-seems to be getting more popular now.
