I think we have our name - Romilly Wren

Curious to know what people think about our chosen name?

Romilly Wren (surname begins Ch, two syllables)

It was always between Romilly, Wren or Delphine/Delphi. And then someone suggested Wren as a middle name and bam, loved it. I do hope little one doesn't get 'Milly' as a nickname though 😕 This is our fourth child and I just think this goes so well with the others.

I think it's pretty. I've known two Romilly's and they've never been shortened to Milly.

I love those names, but I've just seen a photo of Jonathon Ross and wonder how the hell he'd say them!

Romilly is nice but I’m not keen on wren. And I hope she can pronounce her r’s.

Ha ha!! Oh gosh, I'm just going to have to keep well away from Jonathan Ross. Fingers crossed we can manage that!

Love Romilly. Also Ottilie

Pretty, but... if she's Wren-Ch- then you have just called her after part of a toolkit.

I like both names but wouldn't put Wren with Romilly, Its too much R.

My first thought was: hope she can pronounce her Rs.

I love Wren. And Romilly is pretty. But I find the alliteration a bit much.

Delphi Wren on the other hand is so cool.

The Romilly I know is shortened to Rommy

I have a Romilly. She is Rom to almost everyone, I went through a stage of hating it but have warmed to it. I know other Romillys get called this too, so just an FYI!

That’s sweet. The Romilly I know is shortened to Romi, which is lovely and unusual without being icky or too try-hard.

Let's hope she can pronounce her RRRs!!

Romilly is lovely. The one I know is shortened to Romy. Roe-me.

If the last name is Churchill then I wouldn't pair it with Romilly myself - sounds too much like Rommel.

But I like Romilly Wren as a combo.

A lot of rrr, however first and middle names aren’t often used together day to day.

Romilly Wren (surname begins Ch, two syllables)

Romilly Wren Cheeseboard? Love it!

I like both names but I'm really not keen on the alliteration aspect. Sorry @callmesophia Flowers but you did ask! However she'll hardly ever be referred to by both names, so I suppose it doesn't matter all that much...

I think I'd add another middle name to break it up (but I have three names so that doesn't seem excessive to me).

I think it's quite pretty even though I'm not normally keen on Romilly as an individual name. But Romilly Wren I actually quite like. Congratualations.

I love it. We have a little Wren in the family and it's such a pretty name.

I love Romilly, but also like Milly more than Romy. Do you plan to use nicknames or just full name?
Romilly Wren is lovely

It's very pretty but my first attempt to say it out loud ended up as "Womilly Wen" so maybe a re-think on the combo is required? I would say either add in a second middle name (e.g. Romilly Elizabeth Wren" - doesn't have to be Elizabeth, I just picked the first girl name I thought of) or change one of them?

Lovely names but a lot of rrr sounds to get around if she’s not able to pronounce them. The middle name won’t be said too often though, so perhaps it doesn’t matter.

Don't mind Romilly (prefer Delphine) or Wren I
(Love Wren as a first name, actually) but Romilly Wren is a bit heavy on the R's maybe?

Really minor issue though. Most people she meets in life won't ever know what her middle name is.

Go with what you feel is right, OP.

They're both nice enough names, but I don't like them together. I think that takes the shine off both of them

I don't know if it's because I'm Scottish but I find it difficult to say altogether🙈 it's the Rs
