Nina - how many do you know

How many Ninas do you know, how old are they and is their name shortened from a longer name?

I think the name uncommon, my husband thinks they are everywhere, I think it’s timeless, he thinks it’s recently resurged, I think it’s fine on its own, he thinks it’s always a diminutive of something longer.

I know a Nina and a Neena, both early 50s.

I'm NW England and never met anyone with that name!

I know a 10 yr old Nina and it was on our list a few years ago. I love it.

I know two Ninas.

One is 22, the other is late 30s/early 40s.

Only one in her 40s

One aged 9 yrs,another 33 and a 37 year old spelt Nena

I know two. One in her 20s, the other in her 50s. Both very cool and suit their name.

I know one. She’s 12. It’s her full name. Lovely name.

It's a favourite of mine.. I've known one and she'd be in her sixties now.

Two whose full names are Nina
One is 23 and one who is 5 and named after her great grandma

Really... I find that difficult to believe as it is way down on the list of common girls names...unless your German because it is quite a common name in Germany and Russia and also in the Indian culture with a different spelling.
I have lived in this country for 40 years and have only ever come across one Nina

I've only met one child called Nina in last six years

I know one she's three, I remember thinking what a beautiful name and quite rare

I know one, me. 47 and it’s my whole name. In my life I’ve come across two others, they’d both be 45ish now. When I was a teenager my mum had a friend with a dog called Nina.
I did get all the ‘nee-naw’ stuff in primary school, and I hated it and wished I were called Sarah or Emma or Claire instead. But, everyone grew out of that by 8/9, and I do like my name now.

I know 2. Both in their 40s. Not shot for anything.

A few in their 40s and a 4 year old and I think it is a lovely refreshing name in amongst all of the Isla's and Eva's

Know a grown up one about 35 and she's lovely

The only Nina I've ever known would be in her 60s now. It was short for Karenina.
