I saw a tradesman's van the other day with his name, Derek "Smith" across the bonnet. I commented to DH that Derek hadn't come back like Frank, and I couldn't imagine a baby Derek. Could shorten to Derry I guess.

My grandma's brothers were Joseph, Wilfred, Harold, Sidney, George, Herbert.
My last remaining uncle is Frank.
I like the name Joshua. Josiah is also good. And Benjamin.
I have ancestors who were Boyd, Edmund and Strange. Strange in several generations, in honour of a benefactor.
Jabez is another family name (pronounced Jay-buss).
Cornelius came over from Killarney.
