Middle name for Stormi?

Having a hard time choosing. I like Autumn and DH likes Rose. But not keen on either as it sounds like a description rather than a name. Open to any and all suggestions

Stormi is a great name for a hamster. So how about "nutballs" for a middle name? Would that work w your surname?

Or change Stormi to Storming and then Nora for a middle name?

You could call their sibling Starri and keep Nyte as a family middle name. Pass it down through the generations.

I think there's nothing wrong with it as long as it's spelt Stormy.

I think the issue is in real life people will be polite to your face because as you say its your choice. Believe me though they will go home and say can you Believe that Astyr is going to call her kid Stormi. (defo porn star vibes). Imagine the poor kid at school.

I think actually coming here and people being able to say what they think unfettered is a good gauge of what people would think.

Its not a name like Sophie or Kate where you like it or not as a matter of personal choice. It is a real "taste/tasteless" choice. If you are happy to go ahead knowing it will be one of those names that will raise eyebrows but not in a good way that is of course fine and entirely your choice but don't kid yourself it won't.

Suggestion would be to go for something like a colour - such as Stormi Blue or Stormi Jade

Why don’t people name their children nice, normal names anymore? It seems a race to the bottom who can be the most quirky and unique. Yeah it’s great for the parents but that kid has to put up with it the entirety of their life. My child has never had a bad word said to her - her name is universally loved by those that know her they are probably just being polite. No-one needs to be polite on here - you will get an honest reaction (from teachers and employers and people you won't want your child to make a bad impression on before she's even opened her mouth). Stormi is fine as a nickname, but give the girl a real name to put on her job application.

But honestly are we going to ignore the fact that people use celebrity names all the time?

If my child came home with a friend called Stormi I would not be encouraging the friendship to be honest. I couldn't call a child by that name, so wouldn't address them by name at all. Same as an adult by the way, I wouldn't address them by such a ridiculous name.

I personally don't like it, and especially don't like it spelt with an 'i'. Storm is better but only slightly.
I would say middle name needs to be a 'normal' or traditional name so she can use that if she starts getting teased or grows up to hate it. The issue with using a traditional middle name is it sounds like the named storms we have throughout the year issued by the met office. Storm Edna etc.
Completely different if you use is at the middle name and have a normal first name.

If you say 'Open to any and all suggestions', don't be outraged when people suggest you think again!

But if you're really set on Stomi, obviously avoid anything that sounds like a weather report (autumn and Skye, amazed anyone suggested the latter). Or a farrow and ball paint chart with colours.
