Middle name for Stormi?

Having a hard time choosing. I like Autumn and DH likes Rose. But not keen on either as it sounds like a description rather than a name. Open to any and all suggestions

In some countries, names have to be vetted and chosen from an official list. Would be much better if that happened here. Stormi! Why? Genuinely, please explain how you got there. If I did meet you in real life, I probably would ask why you chose the name too

The difference is that some names are pornstar AND normal (Jenna). Some names are not porn at all really (Ruth). Some names are JUST porn (Stormi).

Of course people are more mean on here. It’s because nobody will tell you these things IRL. But everyone will be thinking it. Get a puppy and name it Stormi if you want but give your child a name people won’t judge.

I usually love middle names but I think, if you must use Stormi, it's a good stand alone name without a middle name.

I love Autumn as a name I even forgot and I really like Imogen for a girl too.

It's not really a debate but more a hopeful wake up call.

Child may come to use their middle name as a grown up. Chose something more conventional as a middle name.

If we are like this it's likely at least some employers etc. will be too

I'm sorry that you're feeling hurt by the comments OP. I think in amongst the comments you've had some very valid points made like avoiding names which are also a noun for something else.

Our family name is also a noun, so think something like Rain and we had to avoid a lot of names that were also nouns. Violet Rain for example, would be memorable but not necessarily for the right reasons.

Now you know that it's a name used by the Kardashian's will you still use it? I think the poster who said that you will be judged is probably correct.

Whether we as a society should judge the parents and the child because of the name is perhaps a different debate.

Stormi is a horrendous name, its up the with Mercedes, chardonnay, ellie-mae etc! Your child ( and you) will be judged by every parent they meet! It's indescribably chav! As a pp said Autumn-Rose is far nicer.

Actually several of us have replied, I said it sounds better with no middle name due to the sound of it.

And yes there are lots of porn star names out their but Stormi is a very famous porn star, and also a very famous kardashian baby so it’s a very on trend name for Kardashian’s wanabes so even if you aren’t one, some people will make that assumption about you.

Sorry I meant to say now you've realised it's the name used by the Kardashian's and also the name of a high profile Porn Star associated with Donald Trump.

I guess if I had to choose I'd prefer Stormi Autumn, though that does conjure up a vision of a particularly wild autumn with weather immediately. Stormi Rose sits better but I find it a bit bland to have just three syllables over both names.

Why not just Autumn?

No one is being mean just realistic. Your child will grow up being teased and judged all their life by their name. Don't do it pick a normal name. Why not rose or autumn for the first name instead.

Stormi is SO associated with Kylie Jenner it would be like calling your child North or Blue Ivy or Apple. I just don’t think it’s for us mere mortals, you’d look like such a wannabe. Just saying what many people will think once they are introduced to your new perfect baby Stormi 😬 harsh maybe, but this is the time to be told.

Stormy would be bad enough but if you don't even spell that correctly then no middle name will make a difference. Not a fan of adjectives as a name.

Well said OP!! The sheer snobbery on the MN baby names thread is repugnant, but it says more about the posters than anything else. For what it's worth, I have a DD with a name absolutely hated on here (also an adjective), and my child has never had a bad word said to her - her name is universally loved by those that know her, because in real life, people aren't such dicks and they love my child, and her name is part of her. It's only the bullies on here that go on about a child being picked on about a name, I suppose it takes one to know one.

Anyway, back to the point of your thread, I liked the PP's suggestion of Rae. I think you need a short one syllable name to work with Stormi

Call your child an actual name. Change your own name to Stormi if you love it so much.
