We are due with our little boy (brother to Rupert, Ophelia and Tabitha) but I’m struggling with boys names!

would love suggestions for:
• nicknames for Humphrey (not keen on humps!)
• full name for Rollo (Rowland has been suggested but husband hates it)
• upper class names similair to the above - ideally somethings that slightly unique but not too out there!

Upper class?? Wow! Shame I've landed my own kids on such "middle class" names Hmm

The vitriol towards Humphrey is somewhat sad, imo. It doesn't need shortening; it's got a mere 2 syllables! It's a cute, gentle name, like Barnaby, but less cumbersome because Barnaby WILL surely be given a nn. I knew a Humphrey who was a pleasant, cheerful kid. I also like Hubert, but it sounds too similar to Rupert. Rollo, awful. But it IS a stand alone name; it needn't be short for any other name. Many posters have offered some nice alternatives to consider. I just wouldn't abandon Humphrey myself if I loved it, nor would I look for a nn for it.

Surely you’d be looking at: Charles; William; Edward; Andrew; George; Louis; Peter, etc

But the op is looking for names that are more unusual! Your suggestions are VERY popular.

I love your children's names and Otto fully gets my vote.

@34and3 I imagine OP has simply sought to categorise her naming style.

Humphrey. Yes, it’d be a bold choice nowadays but it seems to me to be a happy name. And I think of the lovely Humphrey Goodman in Death in Paradise.

When I was young Humphrey was slang for Marijuana. Don't know if it still is.

Is this a piss take? You fancy yourself as being upper class but you can’t spell “similar” and you think “slightly unique” is a thing? Average try OP.
