I love Maci but my husband loves Jayda and Piper. Thoughts?

I don’t like pippa it reminds me of a common person trying to sound posh and upper class @Chaoslatte

I've never liked Pippa, too rabbity.

Of your three, I'd go Macey. Definitely not Maci.

Do you like Liberty, OP? I think it's a similar vibe to Macey and Piper.

Chaoslatte · 20/06/2022 15:42

@Sophielaser11 I know two Pippas and neither of them is upper class! One of them is a tattoo artist.

Sophielaser11 · 20/06/2022 15:43

Liberty is nice I do like it, it’s more my style but it just reminds me of the girl off last years love island haha X

Ah, I don't watch Love Island, so I'm none the wiser!

Like Pippa Middleton?

DuckBilledPlattyJoobs · 20/06/2022 15:59

All awful

Firstsitdowntoday · 20/06/2022 16:04

I love the name Piper.

What about Elizabeth? Can be shortened to Libby.

Needmorelego · 20/06/2022 16:06

I knew a Jada when I was a child (1980s). It was considered 'slightly different' but she was American 😂(personally I quite like the name and wouldn't bat an eyelid at it).
Piper makes me think of the character in Charmed but that's not a bad thing.
Maci - I know a few but it's usually spelt Macy.
All 3 are perfectly ok names. Ignore the snobs..
If the 3 I like Macy best (spelt that way)

Sophielaser11 · 20/06/2022 16:07

Im not keen on old fashioned names I prefer modern @IcecreamForAlcohol

MrsMoastyToasty · 20/06/2022 16:10

Not keen on any of them. Maci reminds me of a Mackie D (McDonald's), I know someone whose nickname is Piper (a male) and I always think of bagpipers. Jayda is a bit meh.

Jamepume · 20/06/2022 16:13

Jayda is really nice. Quite like Piper. Not Maci!

FolornLawn · 20/06/2022 16:16

Do you like...
Eden
Sienna
Brooke
Harper
Lexi

Please don't tell me they've all won Love Island. Grin

Topseyt123 · 20/06/2022 16:17

None of them are my cup of tea.

calmlakes · 20/06/2022 16:17

I really don't like Maci, particularly with that spelling.
Piper is a fairly normal name in the USA where I currently am.
Also
Harper
Avery
Madison

Although most dc are given more traditional names in the USA.

Ah but you and many others will soon forget about some reality tv persona! Liberty would quickly become your daughter and you'll not think of any other.

Giggorata · 20/06/2022 16:32

I haven't come across the name Jayda before, so to me, it sounds like one of those Jaden Kayden made up type names. People are very prejudiced against this type of name, which might affect the child's future.
I wasn’t sure how to pronounce Maci until reading further on in the thread, so that would probably argue against it, for me.
Piper sounds very American to me, nothing wrong with that if you want something a bit different.

Theblacksheepandme · 20/06/2022 16:34

These names are popular in Ireland among members of the travelling community.

SummerPuddings · 20/06/2022 16:34

What about:

Lyla
Summer
Rhea
Dana
Chloe
Scarlett
Lois

LisaSimpson77 · 20/06/2022 16:53

I love Piper
Maci is not a great and I'm not keen on it anyway, Maisie is prettier though?
Jayda is really not to my taste, I don't mind Jade though.

blameitonthecaffeine · 21/06/2022 16:13

I really like Piper.

No issue with Jayda or Maci. Quite like them but wouldn't choose them.

Hadtocomment · 21/06/2022 16:38

My favourite soundwise is Macy (Macey?) But I didn't realise from Maci spelling how to pronounce. I'd have thought Mackie from that. I quite like Piper too. Jayda's ok but not my fav of the three. Some of the comments on here are absolutely shocking.

RedLobsterRum · 21/06/2022 16:39

All dreadful.

TabithaTittlemouse · 21/06/2022 16:47

Out of all of them I only kind of like Macy (and that’s only because of Macy Gray!).

Piper and Jayda are awful but we are all different.

Your comment about Pippa being common and trying to sound posh and upper class made me laugh! Are you trying to do the opposite?

What other names do you like?
