Hi,

I have complied a list of nature related Pakistani baby girl names that have roots in Farsi/ Pashto, please let me know if you think they’re pretty or not & which one you prefer for it’s sound. They all sound lovely to me in the Urdu language but being British Pakistani I know some of these might sound awful to non Urdu speakers!! These names all have very poetic & beautiful meanings.

Mahnoor
Mehwish
Mahgul
Maheen
Farimah
Mahroz
Mahlagha
Mahnaz
Mahnoosh
Mahasti

Thanks!

Farimah sounds best.
Mehwish sounds/looks too much like me wish, which might lead to ribbing in school.
also mogul can have comic connotations in english, so best avoid maghul.
maheen reminds me of maureen, which i think is quite nice.
agree about others to avoid mentioned already.

Mahnoor is easy to pronounce, and can be shortened to nickname Noor/nur
Mehwish sounds pretty, assumptive but sounds like it has a nice meaning.
Mahgul easy to pronounce.
Maheen is not a common name but sounds like I'd hear it around if that even makes sense.
Farimah same as Maheen
Mahroz is easy to say and can have cool nick names like Roz!
Mahlagha I don't like as much as the rest
Mahnaz is nice and it's easy to say, also easy to nickname Naz which is common shortening for lots of names.
Mahnoosh is quite nice and again easy to pronounce
Mahasti is probably my least favourite in your list.

My favourites are probably Mahnoosh, Mahnaz, Mahroz, Maheen or Mahnoor
