Amy! But I'm biased as I'm Amy 😂

Amy. But I've read it so many times it doesn't look like a real name anymore!

Ariela · 18/11/2021 23:02

Amy or Aimée . Never Aimee

I have an Amy.

I know an Aimmie, but that is a totally made up spelling !

MopaniTree · 18/11/2021 23:10

Amy

Lucyinthesky07 · 19/11/2021 01:43

I like both.

Surprisingly I know a lot more Aimees than Amys.

Amdone123 · 19/11/2021 02:07

I like both, too.
It's a beautiful name.

Mybalconyiscracking · 19/11/2021 06:14

Avoid any names containing either:
Z where an S would do the job
EE where a Z would do the job
Otherwise you are dooming her to a life where she will always have to work twice as hard as anyone else to be taken seriously!

Mybalconyiscracking · 19/11/2021 06:15

Apologies,
EE where Y would do the job

Onlinedilema · 19/11/2021 06:20

Amy.
I have encountered many different spellings including; Ami, Aimee, Amee, Amie. Must be a nightmare having to spell it out.

BasiliskStare · 19/11/2021 06:26

Amy

What do you reckon @Bugo - it is obviously your choice

WhatIsThisPlease · 19/11/2021 06:47

Amy

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 19/11/2021 07:23

The thing is, Aimée in French is pronounced completely differently to Amy in English, so unless you're going to use the French pronunciation then the French spelling would be a bit silly, IMO.

FeedMeSantiago · 19/11/2021 08:32

Amy is the most straightforward spelling if you are in the UK I think.

I’d like to agree, but as the mother of an Amy, I am constantly amazed how many spellings people can come up with!
MonkeyPuddle · 19/11/2021 08:42

Amy.

I know of an Amey which is not great.

What about Elizabeth? 😉

Agree with most Amy, unless you’re of French origin

Whataday21 · 19/11/2021 09:28

Amy. The other goes with challenor and it isn't a wanted connection

I know lots of non standard Aimeeeesss, but I thought straight away of AC!

scottishnames · 19/11/2021 09:51

Amy
Aimee in French is pronounced somewhere between these two English-language sounds: Aim-eh / Aim-ay

User5252727 · 19/11/2021 09:55
