Madeline is at a Russel Group university studying English. She was always in the top set at school, she's sporty and popular with boys and girls. She is athletic with blonde hair and is one of those girls who always seems to fit in and succeeds at anything she does. Her parents are incredibly proud of her and can't wait for her to come home from uni for Christmas.

Sarah is steady and reliable, quite good at most things but not outstanding at anything (so does not rock the boat). She has a steady senior management level job, does yoga and sings in a choir. Happily married to Tom with 2.4 children.

Hannah chose her name when she arrived in Britain from China, because she liked the palindrome. She's industrious to the point of having anxiety about any form of failure, but most of her friends would never know. She's a superb cook and unstintingly generous

Nick works as a yacht broker. Wears deck shoes and turned up collars. Minor (non selective) private school then Southampton uni because it's near the Solent. Nick is a straightforward chap and doesn't overthink stuff. You'd probably be happy having a swift pint with him but might find a whole evening a bit trying.

New name: Jane

Jane is 47 and a librarian. She tells anyone who will listen how busy and stressful her job is.
So much to do and so many people to serve.
Jane works part time but often has time off when things get on top of her.
She is hoping to retire soon if her husband Neil gets a decent payout when he finishes at 65 in 2 years time.

Jerry is about 60 and keeps having mid-life crises. His wife took him back after the first affair, but when she found him on dating sites she booted him out. Life hasn't worked out so well for him. Promotion was elusive and a career change didn't work out. But he lives in hope, even though what he would most like is a Time Turner to go back and put the time he spent cheating and bad mouthing his XW into compliments and time with her

he has 4 Dobermans that he walks late at night around the area looking out for Trouble

He is 70 years old and on his 3rd Marriage her name is Rita she is 47 and often referred too as Mutton Dressed as Lamb
he has 7 children that he knows off 4 boys and 3 girls and 42 Grandchildren

he also knows of several women he had flings with over the years who he has seen with children that could possibly be his as well

Clara-Mai

Stella is married to Clara-Mai.
They have been together since 1968 when they were at university together and shared a dorm.
They shared flats when they graduated and got jobs and both sets of parents believed them to be just ‘good friends’.
Stella and Clara-Mai never told them any different.
They bought a house in Greenwich in the early ‘70s and share 4 cats who are incredibly fat and spoilt.
They are both retired teachers and whilst they love each other they have fallen into the same routine many couples fall into and get in each other’s nerves.
They have 16 nieces and nephews between them who they adore.

Denise lives in Kensal Rise. With her husband Derek. Their 5 kids have flown but are all happy and doing well in their own ways, mostly still in and around London. So every Sunday they all gather at Denise's for a giant Jamaican Sunday lunch. The kids (and now their partners too) love it, and although it leaves Denise knackered by Sunday evening it's the highlight of her week. So she never complains. Derek though knows it's becoming quite tiring, so brings her tea and crumpets to eat on a tray on for tea. And occasionally if she's lucky he gives her the best foot massage.

New name: David

David own his own hair salon : ‘David John Hairdressing’.
He is 54 and works part time in the salon as Senior style director and only really cuts hair for his loyal clients nowadays - many of whom have been with him since he opened in 1985.
He employs a full staff of young staff who he pays minimum wage.
He owns the salon outright , prime location in the city centre and lives a walk away in a city centre penthouse.
David has an ex partner called Neil who used to work in the salon. Their relationship ended when Neil had an affair with a young man 20 years his junior.
David is very bitter and (naturally) very angry.
Hell hath no fury like a (David) scorned.
David is out for revenge.

Janice is 47 but still refers to herself as being in her early 40s.
She has her hair coloured and highlighted at the trendy salon in town even though she much rather use the local one in her village.
She's friendly but can have an edge and loves a bitchy conversation whenever the chance arises.
She is on the pta which is secretly enjoys but outwardly will eye roll about the naffness of it all.
She's on her second marriage and very much in love.

New name - Georgia

Georgia is a doe-eyed art history graduate. She's tried and tried to get a job in the art world. Christie's would be spectacular. But even a local gallery would do. Sadly for Georgia her middle class credentials aren't quite good enough and all the jobs get snapped up by young women entering the business via unpaid internships. They can afford not to work due to mum and dad's money. Georgia's parents made their money selling cars and although any rough family edges have been smoothed off Georgia her (sensible in my view) family haven't thought to offer to support her.
So Georgia has found herself selling posh ready meals to bijou delis across the south of England.
She'll be ok. She quite likes her job, and she's good at it. Must be the genes. She may end up selling something much more interesting...

Craig

Craig is the chisel-jawed, tall dark man in the IT department. E could be anywhere between 30'and 50. Authoritative when it comes to troubleshooting issues at work, and considered a bonhomous good guy by colleagues, he's actually rather shy. Currently single, he despairs of ever meeting a kind, normal woman.

New name: Xander

Xander used to be Alex, but decided Xander was more quirky when he went to 'uni' to do media studies. He currently works in a pretentious cocktail bar in Gloucester, wears inadvisably lurid shirts and has a pug called 'Pugsley', which (only) he thinks is hilarious... He is, unsurprisingly, single.

Dominic is a Dentist he is 42 and is Fascinated by Teeth he has been doing it so long he could perform a filling or root Canal with his eyes closed he is married to Tara 32 they have Triplets 3 Boys Luca,Able and Bran they are 2 months old and an old dog called Snoopy they like in Cambridge

Ryan

Ryan is a semi pro boxer. He's 26 and has boxed since he was 5. He's in very fit shape. Dark hair, blue eyes and just shy of 6ft. He doesn't drink or smoke but he's still quite a lads lad and likes to party! He met his glamour model fiancé Amie through a boxing match when she was a ring girl. Her sister is Leona.

Rio

Rio is 24 and working as a barman for a while in New York City before he goes backpacking around Europe. He has a great facial structure and jet black hair that is swept to the side... amazing big brown eyes. He is on the shorter side height wise...maybe 5'6? He is close to his granny! Loves food!!
