I love
Violet
Scarlett
Lily

Edison I love too. I know two now. It seems to be getting more popular.

danascully96 · 26/10/2021 08:18

I love Violet, Lily, and Scarlett Smile

Not keen on the boys’ names. Oscar is good, but just not my style.

BeKindBeYou · 26/10/2021 08:20

Girl:

I really like Lily & Amber! Beatiful.

Boys: Oscar is a lovely name. Never really thought about it before but I think I like Edison too?!

AJ0840 · 26/10/2021 08:26

Edison was on our list and I love it, along with Lennon (Lennie) and Sullivan
Scarlett is my favourite on your girls list but I love that you have such a wide range of choice there ❤️

lampback · 26/10/2021 09:03

I like Sullivan but can't use it!

OP posts:
Spidey66 · 26/10/2021 09:06

I like your girls names except Raven and Una/oonagh. I like Oscar from the boys list.

DoodleBelle · 26/10/2021 09:18

I like Violet and Lily from your girls list. Oscar is best from your boys.

RuthW · 26/10/2021 09:19

Girl:
Violet love but popular
Raven love
Scarlett love
Jasmine dislike, dated
Lily awful
Una / Oonagh dislike and don't like how it will be said two different ways
Amber my fav

Boy:
Edison love
Emerson dislike
Oscar like put too popular

So Amber and Edison are my choice.

custardbear · 26/10/2021 09:19

They're all pretty nice - Oonagh looks a bit ugly written down though

daisypond · 26/10/2021 09:43

I like Jasmine, Lily, Una/Oonagh, Amber.
I only like Oscar from the boy list.

IntermittentParps · 26/10/2021 09:46

I like Violet and Raven (even though I think Violet is probably very popular); Oscar is the best of the boys' names on your list IMO, but I'm not mad about it.
But don't listen to me; my idea of a lovely boy's name is Lysander, which I think makes me a weirdo...

SirChenjins · 26/10/2021 09:50

I like Violet and Lily - the others are a bit dated and I don’t like Una/Oonagh (plus I always want to count on Spanish although I know it’s uno)

I like Oscar, not keen on Edison although I like Edi, and Emerson (Emerson Lake and Palmer) just doesn’t look nice imo.

lampback · 26/10/2021 09:52

thank you everyone, always nice to hear other's opinions...would love to hear any other suggestions too, especially for boys

RestingStitchFace · 26/10/2021 10:23

Oscar and Edison are both nice. Violet is beautiful.

Lily, Jasmine and Amber are nice but pretty much everywhere. I know several of each.

I cannot even begin to sum up how much I hate Oonagh. Please God, no....

AnGofsMum · 26/10/2021 10:30

Lily and Amber are beautiful. I really dislike Raven.

Not keen on your boys’ names but I am very traditional. Dislike ‘surnames as first names’ type names.

lampback · 26/10/2021 10:57

A very mixed bag of opinion!

I am unsure of Oonagh / Una because of the way different people could pronounce it OO-na or Yoo-na

We like Raven but would only use if baby girl had very dark hair and eyes (likely but not 100% - could be more brown hair / hazel eyes)

I think of the boys names we are veering towards Edison (nn Eddie) but would love ot hear other names to add to our list. I'm not mad keen on Emerson or Oscar...

OP posts:
bloominglovelyorange · 26/10/2021 12:19

Tristan
Ellis
Laurence
Jenson
Otto

Clandestin · 26/10/2021 12:23

Oscar and Una, but I can't abide the English pronunciation of it as EWE-na. So Raven of your girls.

lampback · 26/10/2021 12:25

@Clandestin

Oscar and Una, but I can't abide the English pronunciation of it as EWE-na. So Raven of your girls.
same here on the pronunciation of Una

I have a 7 year old Sullivan, do you like Lachlan?
I also love Emerson and Raven, Amber and violet from your girls list.

ParmigianoReggiano · 26/10/2021 12:45

My favourites are Lily and Oscar.

lampback · 26/10/2021 13:09

I do like Lachlan but I don't like the potential nn of Lackey...

OP posts:
maddy68 · 26/10/2021 13:14

Hate raven. Sounds like some goth film but absolutely love the rest

Strokethefurrywall · 26/10/2021 14:39

All the Lachlan’s I know are known as Lock or Lockie (rather than pronounced Lackey), but if pronunciation is a concern in your area then stay away for sure.

EurghCobwebs · 26/10/2021 17:00

I like them but they are very popular on name boards on MN.
