It does seem a lot of names, but considering no one ever uses middle names it's a good choice for a 'celebrity'.
I love the name Rose and it will indeed be the middle name if my expected child is a girl

lollipoprainbow · 12/10/2021 20:01

@YumLemonCheesecake yes Rose is one of my daughters middle names very pretty

Yes I guess it is quite long but as pp said how often do you say the full name anyway. I love Rose as a first name though, good luck to them.

Bagelsandbrie · 12/10/2021 20:26

The only thing that occurred to me is that both Rex and Rose are going to have the same initials as they get older. I always wonder how that works with post in people’s houses where they give their children the same initials… not everyone puts Mr or Miss on stuff anymore.

(Yes I have too much time on my hands wondering about this stuff….!)

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 12/10/2021 20:27

Who cares how many middle names? I’m also happy being not married she gave the child her surname too

Calphurnia · 12/10/2021 20:27

That influenced my name choices too Bagels!

that was my first thought too re. the surnames!

My dh and his db have the same initial and no middle names. It did indeed cause post problems until dh left home.
JaninaDuszejko · 12/10/2021 20:34

Why do people hate two middle names so much? No idea who this is referring to (I did google but have never heard of the parents) but I doubt her family are going to call her by her full name all the time and Rose is a beautiful name.

Notdoingthis · 12/10/2021 20:56

Her initials almost spell her name.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 12/10/2021 21:08

The post thing literally does not matter. How much post do people actually get any more? I have the same initial as both my DC. I can’t see it being a problem at all as they get older.

mafted · 12/10/2021 21:14

I think it's lovely to see Rose as a first name.
Like May it's so pretty and has become a bit bog standard as a middle name.

IComeInPeace · 12/10/2021 21:16

That's nice, maybe just Rose swash at school. Have they double barrelled their other kids' sur names?

Dinosauria · 12/10/2021 21:18

@Notdoingthis

Her initials almost spell her name.
I thought that.

Lovely normal first name, excellent use of her name as unmarried.

Hotelhelp · 12/10/2021 21:19

On the post thing does Rex have the same middle initials too? Unlikely anyone will just put R Solomon-Swash surely on mail? Either R O E Solomon-Swash or Miss R Solomon-Wash I imagine.

Think how many fathers and sons have the same full name! If it was a huge issue I’m sure we’d hear more about it.

Frazzled2207 · 12/10/2021 21:21

The accent on Esme is the wrong way round.
She has written Esmè
It should be Esmé or even Esmée

Rose Solomon sounds so much better.
Abouttimemum · 12/10/2021 21:35

@Bagelsandbrie that was very irritating growing up, we all had the same initials, same sex too. No middle names. We’d all just open whatever mall arrived! No secrets in our house ha.

BeKindBeYou · 12/10/2021 21:40

Beautiful name. I love Opal

IComeInPeace · 12/10/2021 21:42

@classica it does!

Im pretty certain Rex is double baralled. The older boys aren't Joe's so AFAIK they are just Solomon. Although I could have made that up Grin
CiaoForDiNiaoSaur · 12/10/2021 21:44

Nope. I made it all up. Rex is Swash. One of the older boys is Solomon. One is something else, I assume his dad's name.

Disfordarkchocolate · 12/10/2021 21:44

I think it's lovely. She was over the moon to have a girl so she probably used all the names she loved.

Glassofshloer · 12/10/2021 21:47

@OnlyFoolsnMothers

And me. I’ll never understand why women just give away the right for the baby they grew and birthed to have any of their names! It’s even worse when baby boys have their dad’s name as their middle name as well 🙄
Glassofshloer · 12/10/2021 21:48

Anyway I love the name Rose, it’s beautiful as a stand-alone name and was initially my first choice but I couldn’t get DH to agree.
