pretty much what it says in the title really.

for a boy, nickname as Lenny!

we have a daughter called Ada

I like names that are a bit different but not so weird you would be like what.....

No, I know two Lennys.

Candydreamer · 31/07/2021 14:33

thanks! my mum pulled a horrified face, thinking if I do go for it I just wont reveal the name until he is here

It is rough, op, but might vary round the country.

Tlollj · 31/07/2021 14:37

I’d raise two. But if we all liked the same name we’d be scuppered.

Candydreamer · 31/07/2021 14:40

she said how about something like Gareth? which I then pulled a horrified face at so yes it probably is just as well we dont all like the same names! 😂

I know a girl called Lennox, I like it.

Hockeyboysmum · 31/07/2021 14:48

Nope not at all. Nice name

Smartiepants79 · 31/07/2021 14:49

I don’t mind Lennox. I’ve taught one, very bright boy!
Don’t like Lenny much though.

AlmostSummer21 · 31/07/2021 14:51

I'd be looking for a dog!
Having said that, it's a million times better than Gareth

Candydreamer · 31/07/2021 15:01

yes, Gareth (just to me, no offence to any Gary's!) is not great

AuraofDora · 31/07/2021 17:06

Lennox hmm I dunno if it’s too similar to Linux for me?

AuraofDora · 31/07/2021 17:10

Yep Gareth is poor imho
What about Dashiel or Brodie?

Mamascoven · 31/07/2021 17:10

It's been on my name list for years, this is my 4th and final baby and I'm definitely using it this time regardless of gender!! 🙊 Though all 3 of my children's other names are very "edgy", marmite names if you like.

Candydreamer · 31/07/2021 17:31

I do like Brodie!

ah yeah go for it! I really love Lennox, my husband isnt too sure atm though :( he said he doesnt hate it but isnt sure if he loves it either. waah

Not a fan of Lennox. I agree with a pp it sounds a bit rough to me.

Strokethefurrywall · 31/07/2021 17:34

Love it, great name.

DinosaurDiana · 31/07/2021 17:35

Just call him Lenny, I prefer it to Lennox.

Kanaloa · 31/07/2021 17:47

I know a Lennox, it doesn’t seem very out there to me. Gareth seems a bit more like Lennox’s grandpa really.

AbandonedCharacter · 31/07/2021 17:57

Lennox is a common surname in Scotland so it sounds fine to me.

whatausername · 31/07/2021 18:02

Wouldn't raise an eyebrow

JaninaDuszejko · 31/07/2021 18:05

Lennox is a surname not a first name. Not keen but not horrendous. Comparable to Gareth Grin

Amdone123 · 31/07/2021 18:29

I don't like it ( or Lennon). I think they will date quickly ( like Jaxson or Brodie, actually).
I'm probably your mother's age but Gareth is a no from me !

AllTheSingleLadiess · 31/07/2021 18:35

Only if your surname is Lewis

Marguerite2000 · 31/07/2021 18:41

I like it.

Anotherday21 · 31/07/2021 18:41

Don't think I've ever met anyone with the name Lennox, as a first name that is, but I like it. Flowers
