Final girl names, how is it so hard?

I love this community so please help me choose our daughter's name from our finalists. You would not believe how difficult it has been to find names that we both like and that work promounciation wise in our three languages (English,French,Finnish).

Please be kind as these are our finalists and I'm already having a lot of anxiety for this. Middle names are Ida and Aurelia that are in our family.

Freya Ida Aurelia - I know this is popular but Freya is a cool nudge to our nordic background. Nn Frey Frey or Ray is nice

Amélie Ida Aurelia - love nn Millie, Mimi, Lili and that also all grandparents can pronounce

Léa Ida Aurelia - popular in France and Finland. The accent might make it a bit confusing but we wouldn't mind both pronounciations Lee-a and Ley-ah.

Other names we loved but didn't work for different reasons: Iris, Frida, Thea, Ella, Vivian, Sylvia, Edith, Lucy

They are all lovely. If pushed I'd go for Lea, sorry can't find the accent on my phone, simply as it's less popular. But they are all lovely, you have great taste. Congratulations.

I think they're all lovely names but I'd go with Lea as it's less popular than Freya or Amelie.

I think Amelie is a bit dated now - it was very popular in the early millennium - so I’d tend to go for one of the other two. Freya is nice but Lea with the accent is gorgeous - simple but also unusual and pretty. (I massively prefer it to the spelling Leah.)

If you wanted something longer, I know a small Linnea with Nordic heritage, and that’s a gorgeous name that can also be shortened to Lea too.

I agree about Amelie, beautiful name but may be a bit dated now. It was very popular after the film came out.

They are all fabulous choices, and Ilove the middle names as well! I agree Léa would maybe stand out as more unique in the UK at least? But all lovely!

Freya is beautiful! It is on my list 😃

I like Freya best, but I’m biased because I know the most wonderful adult Freya who is just a fabulous inspirational person! Lea second, and then Amelie - for some reason it feels a little too close to Aurelia for me, though that’s probably just in my head.

I don’t envy you - it’s hard enough finding a name that we like in one language, let alone three! Good luck!

Aurelia is lovely, would you consider as a 1st name?

How about Lara, Sophia, Anya, Matilda?

I'd choose Lea of the three - Freya is so popular at the moment, Amelie is very early 2000's and obviously became popular because of the film.

I actually love some of the names on your longer list - Thea, Edith, Vivian (although I'd probably use Vivienne).

Also, if you use Lea of Freya, all names end in 'a' sound - maybe a bit much (although middle names won't be used regularly).

These names are all very pretty, my favourite is Iris.

If it is causing you anxiety then I'd say you don't actually like any of them enough if there isn't one you're drawn to.

You can just give a child a name you just like you know. It doesn't have to give a nod to everyone's heritage, you can call a child any name you like if you like it.

They're all a bit fussy. I'd go for Lea as there won't be many. The initials would spell the name too in a way LIA.

Another vote for Lea. Second choice would be Freya, not so keen on Amelie.
