So as suspected I am all over the place today and undecided about Elizabeth Olive! (Little girl born yesterday)

Which do you prefer??

Elizabeth Olive
Olive Elizabeth
Elizabeth Alice

She looks like an Alice but dp chose yesterday to tell me it is friend’s dd’s name and we can’t have that Sad

Alice Elizabeth is 🥰
It seems to flow better that way

sashh · 09/07/2021 08:16

fab name OP

Rapskallion · 09/07/2021 08:25

Alice Elizabeth is lovely. Congrats, OP! 🎉

DinosaurDiana · 09/07/2021 08:27

Elizabeth Alice - you can have what name you choose, no one owns a name.

Chilldonaldchill · 09/07/2021 08:35

I'd go with Elizabeth Olive - Elizabeth's so great and there are so many options for nicknames - and keep Alice in case you have another daughter.
One of my children has a very unusual name (well outside the top 500) and a friend had a baby a couple of years later. I think I would have been "surprised" if she'd gone for the same name then. But when she had her second baby 5 years after that we all (including my child) thought it was lovely that she gave them that name.

steppemum · 09/07/2021 08:41

Olive is very pretty and underused. BUT I really don't think it goes with Elizabeth.
I love Alice.
Elizabeth is a great classice name because there are so many abbreviations.

Lovely names.

ILoveShula · 09/07/2021 09:41

Olive Alicia is better.

Olive is growing on me but there are so many Olivias.

I'd try each first names with the surname without a middle name.

ILoveShula · 09/07/2021 10:05

Congratulations Flowers

You don't have to choose the name straight away. Call her Doris/Bob for a few days while you decide.

PlasticDinosaur · 09/07/2021 10:14

You have time. She's just born, give yourself some days to recover and decide. I am still cross three years on that DH sprung a name choice on me for DS immediately post partum. I love Olive, so beautiful. But my kids both have unpopular names.

DramaAlpaca · 09/07/2021 10:18

Great choice OP!

The last few posts are classic examples of people not reading the full thread, or even just OP's posts Grin

BeachPicture · 09/07/2021 10:21

Congratulations and Alice is lovely!

Onthegrid · 09/07/2021 10:26

I love Alice and Elizabeth but not Olive although I do like Olivia.

My DD2 has a top 10 name which means she has friends with the same name as do my friends DC, it has not been an issue.

Alice is a popular name so using it would not be copying

sorryforswearing · 09/07/2021 10:35

I would use Alice if you prefer it. My son is about two years younger than my friend’s son but has the same name. I spoke to her about it and she didn’t mind. We are in constant touch but she moved and we live miles apart now anyway but it’s never been a problem.

SirSamuelVimes · 09/07/2021 11:19

@AlwaysonEtsy

So we asked them and they were fine about it. Alice Elizabeth 💕
Lovely name! Congrats Op.

hawkehurstgang · 09/07/2021 19:49

Elizabeth Olive 2
Olive Elizabeth - 1
Elizabeth Alice - 3

SunSeaSurfGin · 09/07/2021 20:44

I love Elizabeth Alice

Trinacham · 09/07/2021 20:56

Olive Elizabeth, then Elizabeth Alice. Elizabeth Olive doesn't sound quite right, to me.

Trinacham · 09/07/2021 21:06

Aw, Alice Elizabeth is lovely! Congrats.

MargosKaftan · 09/07/2021 22:24
