What names do you like but you have only ever met one of before?

My sister is pregnant for the first time at 43 and wants an unusual but real name and wants some inspiration.

I named my own after only once ever hearing someone called the name.

I've seen my name mentioned on this thread twice but different spelling to me. Never met one in real life though

I went to school/college with Nonie (pronounced no-ni rather than non-ee), Brandy, Gaynor, Petra and Oriel (all girls). And I’ve met children called Ixia, Hebe, Honey, Jordanna, Ishbel, Harmony, Anais, Ariadne and Zaynib.

Boys names are trickier. The only one I can think of from school/college is Casey. I’ve met children called Everton, Clement, Elvis, Boaz, Gaius, Enoch, Cyrus, Blaise, Perseus, Orion and Perry.

@WineGetsMeThroughIt Felicity here, born in 1986, and have never actually met another one. But I do know 2 children under 6 with that name!

DS’s teacher is Alethea, I always feel like I’m saying Alicia with a lisp.

I love the name Alethea. Beautiful.
It’s one of my absolute favourites too, so beautiful and means “truth”.

I've only ever met one Candida and one Gaye, both 20 in around 1990. I think they are both great names but I'm not sure either is ready for reclaim.
