I love Daisy Alice @buntingandstarcharts. I don’t find Daisy too frilly or girly but I do find Poppy, Delilah and others too girly. Daisy is established enough to escape this loophole.

Daisy Alice is really gorgeous IMO.

In any case, you can’t go wrong with your two choices, they’re both lovely!

Daisy Alice

Alicenwonderland · 04/03/2021 20:14

Daisy Alice is beautiful. Ella is quite a popular name although I wouldn't worry about people calling her Ellie, in my experience people don't shorten Ellie to Ella and vice-versa.

Thedogscollar · 04/03/2021 20:57

Ella Daisy by a country Mile.
So so fed up hearing Alice alice Alice aliceGrin sorry it just grates on me.

lynxca16 · 04/03/2021 21:26

They are all lovely names although my favourite is
Daisy Charlotte

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 05/03/2021 04:36

Daisy Alice 100%

EdgeOfACoin · 05/03/2021 08:15

Alice is nice.

Daisy is a childish name rather than 'girlie'. It reminds me of daisy chains and cutesy things. So on that basis, I don't think Daisy would suit a grown woman, certainly not after she had left her twenties, and I would opt for Ella.

dalmatianmad · 05/03/2021 09:07

Deffo Ella.

I work with a Dr called Daisy and I can't take her seriously, I know how terrible that sounds Confused

KindnessCrusader · 05/03/2021 09:09

Daisy Charlotte is lovely!

MooseBreath · 05/03/2021 11:38

If it's a toss up, ask your son which first name he likes better!

buntingandstarcharts · 05/03/2021 13:06

@MooseBreath we say 'Ella or Daisy?' And he says 'dizzzzyyy' 😅

Mockolate · 06/03/2021 00:42

Definitely Daisy Alice Smile

Maryberryswoodenspoon · 06/03/2021 00:48

Definitely Ella Daisy.. it’s a beautiful name..

CharlieBoo · 06/03/2021 08:08

Daisy Alice is beautiful...

I have an 11 year old Daisy and she suits her name so much and I always think it sounds lovely.. she is girly though but feisty and strong willed..

CharlieBoo · 06/03/2021 08:10

Also it’s so archaic to think that in this day and age, with how diverse the world is, that a name can stop you being anything you want be..

BrutusMcDogface · 06/03/2021 08:16

Daisy Alice 👍👍👍

By the way, I definitely wouldn’t give her the initials EW! Someone at secondary school would pick up on that for sure.

Also, I fell in love with the name we ended up giving my son, partly due to how it sounded in my little girl’s voice; I love the “dizzzzy!” anecdote! 😊
