Louise

Clare Maureen ? Just, why?

Ballygowenwater · 06/01/2021 11:31

I love the suggestion made above of Claire Anne, I think it runs well together.

Donnaj28 · 06/01/2021 13:41

@BloggersBlog because it's my moms name

Can't get over that rude first comment.

Claire Elise is lovely.

YoniAndGuy · 06/01/2021 14:18

Oh goodness. All so dreary.

Fifthtimelucky · 06/01/2021 14:19

I like Claire (and Clare) but would probably make it a middle name rather than a first name.

Of your four options I'd go for Louise or Elise.

joystir59 · 06/01/2021 14:20

Love Claire Louise

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 06/01/2021 15:47

Elise!

Def not Louise.

I like Claire. It seems sweet and French to me.

Firebird83 · 06/01/2021 17:52

Elaine or Maureen. Louise and Elise are a bit filler-y.

YoniAndGuy · 06/01/2021 19:53

Sorry but Elaine has got to be one of the most depressing names ever. Please no. Claire Elaine, god help her!

Shesaysso · 06/01/2021 19:56

What about Elise Claire?

HeronLanyon · 06/01/2021 19:57

I love the name Claire. And that spelling.
I’d avoid Elaine only because of lots of aie s going on.

OhBollocksToIt · 06/01/2021 21:25

Doesn’t every Claire have Louise as a middle name? Go for Elise.

JanewaysBun · 06/01/2021 21:31

Claire Louisa?

Shakedownweent · 06/01/2021 22:01

Would you consider Clara? Obviously it is your decision to make but Claire does feel very dated.

Wanderlust20 · 06/01/2021 22:03

I can't believe some of the rude comments on here! The OP didn't ask for opinions on it, just suggestions for a middle name FFS.

I like Elouise, same sound as Louise (which goes great with Claire but a very common pairing) but just that bit different Smile

Annamaywong25 · 06/01/2021 22:04

@TootDeLaFroot

Please don't call your baby 'Claire", it's a really shit 70s name, from someone who was there. Plus I've been a teacher for over 20 years and have only ever taught 1 Claire. Don't do it!
Well thanks bloody much, that's my dd's name. How rude are you?? Shock
Hotcuppatea · 06/01/2021 22:04

I love Claire. I have several lovely friends with that name and your daughter will probably be the only one in her class.

Claire Elaine would be my choice.

HerMammy · 06/01/2021 22:05

Could Claire be the middle name? Elise Claire? most honour names nowadays are middle names.
Maybe 80s names are on the rise, I recently met a 5 year old Debbie 🤣

Letsrunabath · 06/01/2021 22:09

My friend is Clare so I think it’s a lovely name and gives me good feelings about a honest, loving and trustworthy person who is always there to help physically and spiritually. As a middle name I like Louise, Lorie or maybe use a family name.

Claire Elise for me
We considered Claire for our daughter

Spidey66 · 06/01/2021 22:10

Louise.

sleepingfox · 06/01/2021 22:12

I think Claire is a nice name. Out of your choices I’d pick Claire Elise, but I like the previous suggestion of Louisa instead of Louise. The other combinations do feel quite dated to me.
