How would you pronounce the name Mila?

1. Mee-la
2. My-la

It's my favourite name right now but I worry people would pronounce it wrong

I wouldn't spell it meila if you want the correct pronunciation. spell it Meela or Mila and just correct anyone who gets it wrong.

My friend pronounces her mila as meela, if you want it pronounced myla I'd spell it like that. Lovely name.

Mee-la. I imagine My-la would be spelled Myla.

I would pronounce it My-la, but once I had been told it was Mee-la, I wouldn't have any problem remembering the pronunciation. Meila confuses things even more as it looks like it should be May-la, like Leila (lay-la)

Meela. Your alternative spelling is pronounced Mayla, so that doesn't work.

Meela and I wouldn't change the spelling either, stick with Mila.

'ei' would usually be pronounced 'ay' or 'eye' so definitely don't use that spelling. Just correct people. It's one of those names. I like it though! There are a fair few about down here in the south east. I know two, also know a Myla and two Maya's and it can get a bit confusing!

The Mila I know pronounced like the word miller is Mill-uh, not Mill-er and we are in the London/south-east area.

I read it a Myla even though the only Mila I know is Mila Kunis who is Meela. It’s a pretty name though, I like it!
