I prefer Saskia personally (not keen on the "lie" sound in Eliza, although I like Elizabeth). You could also consider Cassia - has a similar sound to Saskia but a bit less of an exotic feel?

Saskia.
Too many Eliza's and the ones I know become yet moreEllie's.

YoniAndGuy · 14/11/2020 16:19

Saskia

Far too many E names popular at the moment. She would be quite likely to end up as one of a BILLION Ellies.

I love Saskia, there are loads of Elizas in my village, though it is also a nice name.

IrishMamaMia · 14/11/2020 16:29

Saskia is great!

Enterthedragons · 14/11/2020 16:30

Definitely Saskia. Eliza is so wishy washy

ASkyPaintedGold · 14/11/2020 16:33

Saskia! I have one and she loves her name, it's pretty rare around here too.(she is extremely Sassy, though so it's perfect for her)
I don't agree with the pp who said it would date easily...I think Saskia Rembrandt would have disagreed, too 😉

Eliza by far.

Jeschara · 14/11/2020 18:22

Saskia is lovely. I much prefer it to Eliza.

Glitterbubbles · 14/11/2020 18:23

Meredusoleil · 14/11/2020 18:24

Saskia

Raera · 14/11/2020 18:35

I'm not keen on Saskia, sorry. Sounds a bit pretentious
How about Elizabeth?
You can call her Eliza when she's little and then when she is older she can choose to stick with it or use her full name or another nickname - Liz, Lizzie, Libby, Bet, Beth, Liza etc...

pilates · 14/11/2020 19:07

Both nice but prefer Eliza

DramaAlpaca · 14/11/2020 19:09

Saskia for me. Lovely name, Dutch in origin I think.

Eliza is nice enough but blends in to all the other popular girls' names that start with 'El' these days.

Awrite · 14/11/2020 19:12

Eliza. Love it.

DidgeDoolittle · 14/11/2020 19:18

Saskia by a long way. Eliza is a bit meh

Zolaanna · 14/11/2020 19:22

Saskia is fab. Eliza is a bit bland

raskolnikova · 14/11/2020 19:25

Madbengalmum · 14/11/2020 19:34

Sadhoot · 14/11/2020 19:42

Saskia because I can't think of Eliza without thinking of Eliza Thornberry ...
