Hello. Our son was born 3 days ago and we have no name because they told us he was a girl. Our current options are Braven, Soren and Reagan. Which of these names do you prefer and do you have any middle name ideas? Thank you.

Like Soren best. Congratulations!

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 06/11/2020 17:47

Soren is lovely. I also love Stellan.

Doubleyikes · 06/11/2020 17:51

Awww congratulations. I love Soren.
Middle name ideas - Magnus, Finn, Marcus, Christopher, James, Felix?

Chamberlai · 06/11/2020 17:57

Soren is the nicest of your three options. Middle name Lysander or Philip.

HighQueenOfFarts · 06/11/2020 18:01

Soren - very soft name.
Reagan - I automatically think of Ronald Reagan.
Braven- unsure. Too brave.
Prefer Braden.

Congratulations! You still have a little while left to choose so don't feel too pressed for time.

Stellan is cool.

cretelover · 06/11/2020 18:02

I love Soren

steppemum · 06/11/2020 18:03

Umm, if i heard Soren, I woudl think it was a girl.

Braven - odd name
Reagan - definitely Ronald Reagan.

Sorry, you asked, I don't like any

user1493494961 · 06/11/2020 18:05

Keep thinking.

Glitterbiscuits · 06/11/2020 18:08

Soren. Too close to Soreen ( malt loaf, yummy! )

Reagan is awful
And Braven is...well, no. He'd get teased

SingleHandSue · 06/11/2020 18:09

Congratulations!

Soren and Reagan/Regan are lovely but for a girl. I know a male Regan and he loathes his name because everyone makes fun of it being girly.

Braven is a bit odd so think I’d have to discount it.

mamah2019 · 06/11/2020 18:12

I love all 3 options but Soren is number 1 for me out of your options. Beautiful Name!

wildthingsinthenight · 06/11/2020 18:13

Soren!

squee123 · 06/11/2020 18:16

Isn't Reagan a girls' name? It makes me think of the horrid Regan in King Lear

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 06/11/2020 18:16

As per your thread the other day... Braven is a firm NO

Soren -soreen malt loaf
Reagan - Ronald

I know it's a shock getting a boy, when you were expecting a girl, but there really are lots of nice boys names!

There's no huge hurry either, take your time (& let the hormones settle).

squee123 · 06/11/2020 18:18

what about Rowan? Aaron?

Wetweekend99 · 06/11/2020 18:20

I know a little boy called soren, its lovely.

If you want my 2 pence, my boys names were Elliott or Lawrence (Laurie) which is probably way off anything you like.

Congratulations- you've got plenty of time to find a name don't panic x

CaptivatingGonads · 06/11/2020 18:22

Max! Smile

yarrow89 · 06/11/2020 18:22

What a surprise it must have been!! Hopefully everything went well and you're adjusting to the shock.
I think I prefer Soren or Braven, Reagan just reminds me of Ronald Reagan. For middle names, I'd go with something Norse (first two names sound Norse-ish to me!) like Magni/Magnus, Halvar or Olin.

SephrinaX · 06/11/2020 18:24

Of those 3 I would say Soren. I know a soren, he's a great guy and hasn't been teased about his name and he's now in his 30s.

Toilenstripes · 06/11/2020 18:25

Soren is a great name. Danish, I think.

SephrinaX · 06/11/2020 18:26

Also I think Braven is the name of a rubbish Jason Momoa film that came out last year isn't it?

NoMoreFlowers · 06/11/2020 18:27

I thought you'd accepted from a previous thread that it was a no for Braven. It's not even a name and the others are awful too.

What have you got against calling your son an actual name rather than something made up?

CatteStreet · 06/11/2020 18:27

Soren, definitely. And as for the Soreen comments, how much does malt loaf figure in most people's lives?!

markzuckerbergsgreytshirt · 06/11/2020 18:28

Isn't soren a malt loaf? Or have they not been seen since the 1970s? Smile

BarryTheChopper · 06/11/2020 18:29

Soren is lovely and definitely a boys name. I know a great little boy called Soren.

Regan is nice but I have never come across it for a boy.

Not Braven.

Congratulations!
