Our baby is born and we don't have a name

Hello. Our son was born 3 days ago and we have no name because they told us he was a girl. Our current options are Braven, Soren and Reagan. Which of these names do you prefer and do you have any middle name ideas? Thank you.

Sorry OP but I think they're all pretty bad, especially Braven. Could you use Braden/Brayden instead?

NameChange30 · 07/11/2020 13:16

Congratulations!
I vote Soren, it's a great name.
I really dislike the other two.
What name(s) had you shortlisted for a girl?

LaBodDelMed · 07/11/2020 13:21

Soren - does just remind me of the malt loaf
Reagan - either female Regan or Ronald
Braven - is it even a name?

So if I’m going to completely honest, I’d go back to the drawing board.

I'm old fashioned and dislike 'made up' names. What's wrong with Richard, Thomas, Matthew, Michael, David, John, Andrew, Henry, Robert, William, Edmund, Steven....

KittyLuna · 07/11/2020 13:31

Does no one on here give their child a normal name any more?! These names are bloody horrible.

JuliaMcFly · 07/11/2020 14:18

Ok, I understand that the names I like may be different to the names other people like. Although I've asked for opinions, I wouldn't ever describe names as bloody horrible, appalling or made up. There are polite ways to say you dislike something.

@GintyMarlow2 well, for the exact reason you don't like the names I like, old fashioned names aren't my taste.

Thank you to everyone who gave nice feedback and middle name suggestions. I've seen a few I quite like, Soren James is one.

Braven is dreadlul. Soreen is a common food in the school packed lunches round here and Reagan is a girl's name.

Chilldonaldchill · 07/11/2020 14:32

I really like Soren. I met a little bit called Soren who was adorable. I'm not keen on the other options. Reagan sounds as though it's after the old president.
I like
Soren Flynn
Soren Thomas
Soren Theo
Soren Alexander

SugarCoatIt · 07/11/2020 14:40

I like Soren the best out of them, I'd never actually heard this name before but I think it's lovely, not sure about middle names, I do like Soren James that has been suggested though.

Congratulations OP

I'd automatically assume all three choices were girls names

Me too, Soren reminds me of Seren which I've only ever heard on girls.
emilybrontescorsett · 08/11/2020 14:27

I really wouldn’t call him Braven. Are you expecting him to lead a revolt or something? It just sound like a Viking warrior name.
Sorren reminds me of the loaf and Reagan isn’t for me.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 08/11/2020 14:40

@JuliaMcFly that was very dignified. Soren James is lovely - congratulations.

Namechange8471 · 08/11/2020 16:13

Any other ideas op?

James is lovely (on its own)

Firebird83 · 09/11/2020 22:07

Soren is the only one I like.
