Sisters Baby Girl - urgent name help*

Hello all ! My sister who is 20 is having a baby girl in December and can’t find the perfect name.
Ideas:
Ophelia - getting very common so won’t be using
Ocean -
Bluebell -
Tamsin - would get nn tam which isn’t nice (too old fashioned)
Estella - seems too old fashioned
Alaska - probably a bit out there
Aurora - also getting quite common but we love it

Please give name suggestions and what you think of these names

From your list I'd choose Tamsin.
Estella is ok.
Not keen on the others.

It looks like she likes nature-themed names.
How about looking at plant names - Fern, Willow, Hazel, Heather...

I love Tamsin, so pretty. (She wouldn't necessarily be Tam.) Aurora sounds like roar roar roar, so not nice. Bluebell is nice too but slightly odd for a woman as opposed to a little girl. Not too keen on the others.

None of those names are good.

Alaska and Aurora are gorgeous. Other names she might like.
India. Egypt. Tallulah. Delilah. Coral. Meadow. Eden. Saffron.

Tamsin or Estelle

The only one I like on that list is Tamsin. All the others sound like stripper names imo

Yeah and she'll be born and won't look like her name then she'll have a few days with no name which is not a big deal.

Not even in the same ball park.

Tamsin is one of my favourite names but the rest are awful, particularly Bluebell. It might look cute until she's about 2 years old but once she's a teenager I can assure you she'll be wanting to change her name.

Aria
Cecilia
Skye
Jasmine
Layla
Amber

By all means call the baby Alaska, if you want her to suffer a lifetime of "I'll ask her" jokes.

And, a woman called Bluebell? Seriously?

So a month away, and then you have 6 weeks after that to register the baby. So 10 weeks at least. That’s if the baby isn’t overdue, you could have up to 12 weeks, 3 months. Yeah, urgent

She can decide once baby is here. There is no rush right now. One name might suggest it self more when you see baby.

That said, on the list I like Tamsin best. I knew a Tamzin when I was little and I know an adult Tamsin now. Both were Tammy is children and now use their full names.

Sorry I’m not keen on any of them..... but as long as your sister likes them that’s all that matters, seems you have narrowed it down to Bluebell or Ocean maybe use one as a middle name?

So much depends on the surname and if the initials will make a word (not advised).

I like Judith as a name.

Agree that most of these names, Bluebell in particular, are hideous. How about Rosabel/Rosabelle as an alternative? It's still too frilly and cutesy for my taste but it gives plenty of nickname options - she can be Rosa, Rosie or Belle when she's older if she chooses.
