Do you hate any of the shortened versions of the longer names? If you do I’d strike them off the list, they may not get shortened but the likelihood is they will.

I like Robert, Sebastian, Nathaniel. I quite like Ivo but prefer Ivan.

Benjamin as long as it was shortened to Ben

So we have an agreed girl's name (won't be finding out gender). This is our combined shortlist for boys names. Not fond of Bobby but don't mind Rob or Robbie. I think Ben is a bit boring? DH likes Christopher as well but that's not on the shortlist since we both hate Chris (despite knowing lots of nice ones ) and don't think we could carry off Kit.

The problem with Christopher is that, although Kit is a lovely nickname for a child, I can't quite imagine a grown-up Kit... So they might end up being "Chris" in the office!

I'm in my late 20s and to me Robert and Andrew are "dad" names, (ie men in their 50s)

I would choose Sebastian or Nathaniel (shortened to Nate) not keen on Rory and Ben is a bit bland. Ivo is quite nice, a bit different, and maybe Andrew is due a comeback. Robert is OK.
