Not a fan of Ivo but love Ivan.

Kit’s fine for an adult! He’ll be surrounded by Teddys and Archies anyway - Kit is way more grown up than those sort of names.

Your list seems to have some very different kinds of names...

Andrew, Robert and, to some extent, Benjamin and Nathaniel seem quite bland to me. Sebastian is lovely, but quite popular, so it depends what you're going for. Rory is fine, but I love Ivo - different but straight forward and pretty international. Having said that, all apart from Rory and Ivo are long names that are likely to get shortened. Is that what you would like, or would you like a shorter, punchier name?

It's an amalgamation of DH's and my choices. His are the more traditional ones, but he's also keen on Rory. I like Ivo but he's not convinced. I don't like Rory because I have a slight lisp.

Girls name choice is Evelyn (with Marianne as a runner-up if baby doesn't look like an Evelyn).

Robert or Andrew. They’re underused classics.

All the Andys I know go by their last names 😂

I love them all except Nathaniel. Ivo is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine but not sure I’m brave enough to use it. I really wanted Rory for DS4 but DH vetoed - just as well because he had huge articulation problems and particularly struggled with R. Still does a bit at 14.

I really love Christopher nn Kit tho - if you can pull off Ivo you can absolutely pull off Kit!

Not that you asked but I love Marianne of you girl choices. Evelyn is nice but there are so many Evies about round here.

It's a family name (my grandmother was called Evelyn). She never shortened it and would have given short shrift to anyone calling her Evie ! If we have to shorten it, it will be to something like Lyn, not Evie.

But have a feeling DC2 will be a boy and we'll avoid the problem altogether!
