We thought of this name for our baby boy and wanted some opinions on it! We wanted something unique but not too out of the norm. Thanks. :)

I don’t know, but your thread title sounds like a great spy novel.

AntiHop · 22/09/2020 08:56

I wouldn't name my child that as cash isn't a name and is a word people use in it's real use daily.

lottiegarbanzo · 22/09/2020 09:42

I suspect she's naming a fictional character. People come here for that a lot.

If I heard 'Cash' I'd think it was Kash, as in Kasha - Russian girl (Katherine) or Asian boy name, or Cassia pr. Kasha.

The only positive about Cash is as a Johnny Cash reference (born in Kingsland, incidentally). John / Johnny is a good, currently underused name.

Otherwise, you know, why not go upmarket a bit with 'Gilt Bond'?

SallySeven · 22/09/2020 09:44

Sounds to me like he runs a casino!

If you like it go with it.

Cash is not going to raise eyebrows particularly in the modern world.

BeMorePacific · 22/09/2020 11:08

I quite like Kingsley. But I really dislike Cash x

FizzyGreenWater · 22/09/2020 11:43

Cash really isn't nice though. You can't get away from the fact it simply means 'money'! So it sounds - pretentious, grabby, nicknamey, crass... all at once.

Kingsley would be a fab middle name - I would put something with it that's more classic but would give you a cool nn.

Andrew nn Drew? Drew Kingsley -that kind of thing

Fartleking · 22/09/2020 12:40

@Kmkboyd

There's a difference between being an ass about it and being honest guys. Its not like I'm naming my kid this. I just wanted opinions. So probably never posting on here again. 75 % of these people sound stuck up and rude. Thanks anyway
OP "I'm thinking of this really different name for my son, what do you all think?"

MN "Unanimous thumbs down."

OP "You guys are stuck up and rude, I'm never posting again."

Confused
Pachonga · 22/09/2020 12:53

You might as well call him ‘Dickhead’

Thefaceofboe · 22/09/2020 12:53

I like it but personally would use Kash

ImaSababa · 22/09/2020 13:27

Nooooo

NotYourDawg · 22/09/2020 13:31

Kingsley is the name of a local wannabe gangsta round here so it makes me think of a pasty, skinny, Adidas-clad, hoody-wearing yob.

LadyH846 · 22/09/2020 13:31

@Pachonga

You might as well call him ‘Dickhead’
Yep, Lol.
ChelseaCat · 22/09/2020 13:34

@Fartleking 😂

TinaTraybake · 22/09/2020 15:41

I like Cash or Kash, not too keen on Kingsley

formerbabe · 22/09/2020 15:43

I think it's awesome

whatausername · 22/09/2020 16:51

@ODFOx

Isn't Cash King the coin counting machine they used to have on supermarket doorways; pour in a bag of coppers and it gives you a five pound note? Sorry OP: it really isn't a nice name.
😂😂

Even Delboy would have rejected it as too crass.

Firebird83 · 22/09/2020 19:03

Awful

Crankley · 22/09/2020 21:28

Hideous and don't ask if you don't want honest replies.

BabyLlamaZen · 23/09/2020 08:55

I'm sorry it sounds very wannabe gangster

Cherrybalm · 23/09/2020 12:50

@Pachonga first time a comment on here has actually made me laugh to the point of not breathing properly 😂😂

mabelandivy · 23/09/2020 13:52

absolutely awful.

len1234 · 23/09/2020 13:57

I really dislike cash but Kingsley is nice. I know a Kingston and he is such a sweet little boy. A similar name to Cash that I really like is Nash.

Kanaloa · 23/09/2020 15:34

It reminds me of Cash is King. I think either one would work as a cool middle name though.

instaglow · 23/09/2020 15:37

So bad

BurtonHouse · 24/09/2020 16:11

Mark's out of 10?
