Which longer version of Max

So I really like the name Max and it’s one of only a few that my husband and I agree on.

However my husband is insistent that he have a ‘full name’ on his birth certificate.

Which longer variation of Max do you prefer? Or do you think Max alone is fine.

Husband is Maxwell its served him well I think.

I love Maxim. Despite being a huge Rebecca fan.
I didn't know it was a men's magazine till a few weeks ago on this site so I don't think it's a problematic association. (I know a 6 year old Maxim, known as Max, and no one has ever mentioned it).

I love Max and would use it on it's own. Not keen on the longer versions, but if I had to choose probably Maximilian

Just Max is fine unless you want to go full gladiator and call him Maximus Decimus

Maxwell is AWFUL. Maximilian silly somehow and too fussy - just no need. Maximus - gladiator!

I hate that the “lads mag” ruined the name Maxim as I really like it, but that would put me off. I suppose if they don’t think that they’ll think of the character from ‘Rebecca’ who isn’t the nicest either.

I was going to say that Max is a great standalone name. BUT I've kind of fallen for the suggestions of Maxim.

Maxim reminds me of the creepy husband in Rebecca, and Maxwell of crap coffee or a dog
