Just that really. My husband and I think it's super adorable but also works for a girl in her teens and as an adult.
I think it's a classic name but am worried others will say it's dated? Any (not too critical) opinions would be great Smile

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Br1ll1ant · 09/07/2020 09:26

Love it

Destroyedpeople · 09/07/2020 09:26

It's a good name as you say. It was really fashionable some time ago but I don't think that matters .

NaToth · 09/07/2020 09:28

Over-used and currently dated. Laura, on the other hand, is classic, Lara, perhaps just that little bit different.

Stluciacharm · 09/07/2020 09:29

I'd never think it's over-used. I know one Lauren and in all my years of teaching taught 1 Lauren. We are in the South East though so perhaps its regional?

My 11 Yr old daughters lovely best friend ❤️

Stluciacharm · 09/07/2020 09:34

So far mainly positive Smile

Just doing a google and only 170 Laurens were born in 2017 and ranked as 288 in popularity. So it can't be over used

If you love it, use it! Personally, I don’t think of it as a classic - it sounds quite 1990s to me and a little dated. I agree Laura is more of a classic. But it’s a pretty name so don’t let other people’s perceptions stop you!

Mumoblue · 09/07/2020 09:35

It's cute.
I've known hundreds of Lauras but only one Lauren, dont think it's over used at all!

RedRec · 09/07/2020 09:35

Love it.

Mrsjayy · 09/07/2020 09:38

I only know of Lauren's in their mid 20s. Dd age. Names come and go and it's nice to see them come back its A lovely name.

Batqueen · 09/07/2020 09:43

Lots in late 20s and early 30s, unusual now. Nice

FairfaxAikman · 09/07/2020 09:47

Nice and unusual now.
Prefer Laura though.

BabyLlamaZen · 09/07/2020 09:48

If you love it, go for it. I like it!

megrichardson · 09/07/2020 09:49

Wasn't she the 'am I bothered?' schoolgirl?

northernbelle84 · 09/07/2020 09:50

Lovely name. I do know lots of Laurens (10) in their 20s/30s so it is a little age specific round here (The North) but not unusable.

VinoOlive · 09/07/2020 09:52

There are two Lauren's at my DS' preschool, I was surprised as most I know are my age, 30s.

Ugzbugz · 09/07/2020 09:57

Lovely name Smile

Spied · 09/07/2020 10:02

It says 90's to me.
It's not awful but I prefer the similar Laura.
Laura is a timeless classic.

Onestepup · 09/07/2020 10:03

I like Lauren. Laura is a bit ponderous.

Mrsjayy · 09/07/2020 10:05

There was just as many Laura's to Lauren's in the early 90s I think they are comparable names.

imalittlethrowaway · 09/07/2020 10:09

I like Lauren, I think it’s pretty and not very common (as in frequency!) I’ve only ever met 2 in my life, both the same age as me, 30

Ploughingthrough · 09/07/2020 10:09

I love the name Lauren, if I was having more babies it would totally be on my list.

daisypond · 09/07/2020 10:12

I do think it’s dated. I know a few in their 30s. I think Laura is more classic.

user1493494961 · 09/07/2020 10:12

I wouldn't say it was classic, like pp. I think of it more as a 90s name. I don't dislike it, just think it's a bit bland.

GameSetMatch · 09/07/2020 10:22

I like it! Classy and timeless.
